Gators of voracious appetites, the massive blackhide wrastlers can easily drag the mightiest foes down to be shredded in a flurry of teeth and claws. They are also highly territorial beasts that glide through the swamps and shallows to sink their teeth into anyone who wanders close to gator-held land.

I am pretty turned off my the head personally. Looks more like the head of a dog covered in scales. It is also way too big. As in; 'Move over GW, our herioc scale is the leet' too big.

I've not been impressed with either of the new Gator releases. I was hoping that they would keep the Voodoo and Shaman themes. Also this looks nothing like a gator, something I really liked about the Posse and Snapjaw.

I'm usually a fan of PP's stuff, but this just seems, I don't konw, off somehow. I like the other Gator stuff too, just not a fan of this one.

While I can kind of see why some people don't care for this fig, this just might keep me in the Hordes game.

It's the croc skin tax...

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

If only he were a little smaller... would be a great Blood Bowl mini... or an alternate Krox.

Regardless, I like it.

At that price I need to know: is it big enough to use as a "Counts As" Giant in a WoC army?

I saw the price comments and expected $50+.
He's only $40. $5 more than the plastic jacks.
That is not bad for a heavy large based model for PP.

You want pricy, check out Deathjack, or Karchev.

It's a... Mexican wrestler? Seriously? Are the good people of Privateer's design studio on crack, teenagers or hopelessly lowbrow? Or, indeed, all of the above?

The supply does not get to make the demands.

I sense some backstory behind this hatred. Perhaps a failed career as a luchador?

Since its mounted on a 50mm base- its a pretty good sized fig. Going to be the size of most heavy jacks, or the bigger warbeasts.

So, a 40$ price tag isnt out of the norm for a fig that size.

I was actually looking at him for a pretty snazzy daemon prince conversion....

If only it were plastic (and maybe $10 less) it would be a awesome canvas for conversions.

I've always liked metal more for conversions, tbh. Plastic's easy, but it never quite carries the same weight to me (pun only partially intended) as a good conversion in metal.

I know exactly what you mean - I have some metal terminators, for example, and I strongly agree, they have a much more pleasant feel in the hand.

That being said I never feel like I enjoy building them so much as endure it. They always feel like so much more of a chore, and it feels like the detailing is frequently not as sharp on the metal minis. Finally, although I enjoy the weight in the hand, I certainly don't enjoy how that weight causes them to easily chip if it inadvertently leaves the hand, so much more easily then with plastic.

I don't mind the body position, but the head does look odd to me. I'll have to pass on this one.

Meh.

Yet to be truly grabbed by PP stuff. Don't get me wrong, is a nice enough sculpt. but I just dont find it compelling.

Needs to look more Aussie. That would be cool. Can we get a comparison on how big it is next to a 25mm mini?

Never mind.. ill just imagine its twice the hight.
