Howdy all, in ard boyz my opponent told me that his hydra's breath weapon was a magical attack, thus could hurt my ethereal wraiths. I said that was him just wishlisting, but he had an email from GW customer service saying it was magical. The judge held up the email, and the wraiths died.

Thoughts? Completely cheezy or does the GW cust. serv. have it right somehow?

The High Elves army book entry on dragon's specifically says High Elves Dragon's Breath Weapons are flaming attacks. I wonder if the Hydra entry in the DE army book describes if they are magical or not?

I think George Orwell was unknowingly describing 40K.

They aren't as far as i can see, checked both BRB and DE FAQs too. That judge was stupid to follow that E-mail, 1st the GW customer service guys have nothing to do with the people who write the rules, 2nd E-mails are easy enough to forge

What is a hydra's breath weapon suposed to be exactly anyway? does it breath fire or scream or what? Though I would generally agree that it should be magical/flaming there are some breath weapons which would not be, ie sonic/poisonous.
