Currently working on re-painting my Eldar, and also bought lots of new stuff, so I'll put up things here as I work.
(Note that Tonesh-ian means blue skies, so that's where I take the main colours from)

First three Jetbikes, the first painted in this scheme:

Then two Wraithguard (WHEN will they get plastic models?)

My "Legion of the Damned" Fire Dragons, I think their usual scheme is really boring

FW avatar, of that bloody(!) handed god. Has btw been unbased for about two years

The first guardian, alongside a Banshee. So happy I got my hands on ten of the older models!

This pic below shows here ruby-like power weapon, which is also how the prism cannon will look like:

And on a side note, my wip Dark Apostle.

As I said, I am about to paint my Fire Prism when I can borrow an Airbrush, and I also have Shining spears, guardians, banshees, dragons and WS to paint... Then there is the DA, wraithguard, and a Nightwing I painted wrong... Will this never end?
Oh well. At least it is fun

Those fire dragons are badass.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

Seconded on the Fire Dragons. That is a good look for them. The Avatar looks good but a bit unfinished around the hat area. Will you be doing anything else with it?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

@Illuknisaa: Thanks!
@Flinty: Thanks you too. And about the avatar: Yeah, I will probably highlight the helmet, and maybe make some glowing runes on it or something. I never really knew what to do with his helmet, actually.

Source lighting! It'll make that metal look great.

And really nice work on the Fire Dragons, mate. The guardians look good but I suspect they look better in person, as the pics are flattening them out a bit- but the Dragons look truly ace.

And you LIKE the last-edition Banshees? To each their own I guess. Those. poses and hug helms just never did it for me. The older, 2nd-ed. ones looked like they were dancing, and were really well-wrought. The 4th ed. ones just look so clunky alongside them.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

That is actually Eldar language (well, I am not sure if it is true, but I found an Eldar word list), so -ian means Heavenly. As such, Tonesh-ian can also mean heavenly blue, or more complex, the "heavenly colour of the skies mirrored in the abyssmal seas"

@Flying Pooo: Thank you! The scheme for them are: Mechrite red in a flame pattern, then I paint the following colours lower and lower on the pattern: Blood red, Fiery orange (Not able to buy it anymore, but blazing orange would most likely work), Golden yellow, Sunburst yellow. I'm more than happy with them.

Thanks, it is appreciated.

Not really an update, that will be in the evening, but I wanted to say that in a school project, I am gonna do a scratchbuilt warlock which I am going to cast. Might as well try to sell it. In any case, I will put pics up here as the project proceeds. I actually got the idea of its pose in a dream! But that's for later...

Allright, how does this light look on the avatar? Is it a bit weak?

Here's the apostle, together with a third Wraithguard, both wip. You can see a bit more of the DA's features here.

Second banshee. two down, eight to go. Think I'll paint the exarch (mirrorswords) next of these.

Next thing up: Warlock nr1! Stay tuned...

Looking very nice indeed, I like the Dark Apostle very much.

Hey, thanks. Happy somone noticed him, the FD seems to catch everyones gaze. Let's just hope the next CSM codex will include these evil priests.
I'm about to paint my warlock... Where would you say i should place the colours on them? (Like, white robe and blue armour, or blue robe and white armour)
Or maybe, white robe/blue armour on the spiritseer (to fit with the Wraithguard) and Blue robe/white armour on the other psykers?

I saw you have these too on your eldar blog. I prefer them too, despite them having a kinda boring exarch. But I'll show you how I made exraches soon. Unfortunately my camera is in denmark right now, so I can't take any pictures for now.
But I'll have some stuff ready by then, don't worry!

To speak of some fluff for Tonesh-ian...
As Biel-tan is called the Swordwind, Iyanden the Ghost Warriors, and so on, Tonesh-ian are the Destroyers. They are similar to Yme-Loc by being skilled a building great tanks and titans, and also are very used to using heavy weapons in general. The craftworld is by the moment located relatively close to Attila and the Tau Empire, estimated to be slowly moving towards the Maelstrom.
The chief Farseer of Tonesh-ian is Artemis Davoña. The information about her is very slight, but the Inquisitor Amadeus Helsnicht has reported how even Terminators seems to be unable to harm her; it appears they have been stunned by her psychic powers when trying to attacking her, only to be put out of action by her witchblade.

Hello again. As I said I am painting psykers, but I am really hesitant of the weapon colours. Should the witchblades have the same colour as the power weapons? Or should they have different colours??
The current options are:
WB - Red, PW - Red
WB - Red, PW - Metallic w/ blue wash
WB - Turquoise, PW - Metallic w/red wash
WB - Turquoise, PW - Metallic w/blue wash

What I have at the moment is WB - Red, PW - Red, but I am now eaning towards the last option... Also, since my Farseers weapon is called The Heaven Blade, red would not fit very well on it... Any opinions?

Oh well, enough pondering now. I have pics!
My first Shining Spear:

And here, the fourth Fire Dragon.

Great stuff, Nice color scheme, Absolutely great fire dragons.
I love the idea that you have used guardian torsos on the bikers, they look so much better than the originals.
A note on the avatar, paint some lava on the metal, it looks too plain. Get some new howling banshees, the old ones look...old

I love that Avatar cast by forge world! I want one someday soon, I wish it was scaled down just a tad though. I am most impressed with your fire dragons! Nice change of color scheme, yet they can still be easily identified as a fire dragon....seriously, they are just downright sexy!

@irdiumstern: Thanks!

@malice: I might paint some lava on the metal. The main theme is that some places are not as hot as others, that's why they look more like metal than lava.
About the Banshees, i just prefer the old models than the newer. I like them, frankly. Though, their swords have now been repainted to look more like power weapons.
The farseers guns in the codex doesn't seem to have any gems, that's why I didn't paint them on mine.
And the chaos lord, that was just for fun..! Though I do have a Iron warriors army...

@element206:
Thanks! Yeah, I think the FD scheme is one of my best ideas about my eldar...

@Malice - This is how Eldrad usually looks.

He's frankly to short compared to the other farseers there are, so I made my own.
And the banshees highlights needs an inspection, you say? I'll consider that. Is it something particular you mean?

@Savis and bunnygurl - Thanks both. It seems this FD scheme was a damn good idea. And it's mine

Otherwise I don't have much new to show now, but I suppose I might go and paint a wraithguard or two. I am also urging to buy a WL and position it really cool.

I did what I said I would! here's the Wraithguard I have painted so far, along with the squad's Spiritseer:

If you wondered, yes, I did alter the two I showed you earlier a bit. Now there is only one WG left to paint, and you know what? I have now noticed that I hate to paint the white on them. I really hope they will get plastic models. Really, now grey knights will get an update, then (supposedly) necrons or maybe tau... Don't you think eldar have quite a good chance of getting a new codex "relatively" soon? Ok, I understand I am being optimistic here...

Whats going on now is partially that I am painting the hull of my Fire Prism, looks good so far, and also I am going to sell as much of my old Eldar as possible that I don't use (such as a falcon, an old support weapon and an old fire prism - anyone interested?) to get room and money for a wraithlord and eventually a wave serpent.

I am quite progressive now: I just finished the FP hull, what do you think?

Thinking a bit about painting the Craftworld Sigil to its right side, what would you say? Also, I am thinking about painting some part of the turret white instead of blue, which part would that be, do you think? The cannon, maybe?

In any case I just have to paint the turret, and the tank is done! Then there's two Fire Dragons to paint cool (but hot!).
