Yeah, that's the thing about Konosuba; its actually a parody of the whole Isekai genre.
Its hardly wish fulfillment.

Re Zero does something similar, but with less humor and more punches to groin. Also Dark Souls.

I agree. Its basically a massive parody, and shamelessly so. Poor Kasuma is hardly living the dream as it were. He's the only sane person surrounded by crazy people.

Kazuma may have thought that it was wish fulfilment (it pops up from time to time), but for the most part it is a delightful deconstruction, even going off the deep end once you get to really late in the story.

He's only sane as long as the situation asks for it, if he's got nothing to worry about money wise he'll happily take up the idiot ball. Megumin also shows bouts of sanity and she's seen as the most level-headed member of the party by Kazuma, which is saying something as she's a hardcore chuunibyou who actually thinks she's the main character in the story.

Word is that Youjo Senki is getting 26 episodes.

I just started watching "Ninja Girl & Samurai Master." It's sort of stupid, but cute and entertaining.

Most happy with seasons 2 of Boku No Hero Academia and Berserk. Clockwork Planet also looks neat.

On the movie front there's Overlord and a Resident Evil movie, though that will be spank most likely.

Clockwork planet does look neat. I just kinda wish that the 'Anime Style' wasn't quite so prevalent all over. I think that's part of what Naruto and One Piece/Fairy Tale have, is that they're different styles, which match the tone of the show more.

So got through most of Symphogear GX with a buddy tonight- haven't actually seen the first season (or two?), but DANG is that a fun show. Well written, well animated, absolutely over-the-top premise but still internally consistent... Pretty fun.

Ok, is Zero Kara Hajimeru Majou no Sho related to Re Zero, because the full titles for both are really similar.
I mean, both are even by White Fox and involve a witch.

Nothing in the shows description or wiki page hints to it being at all related to Re:Zero.

I enjoyed Monster Girls, and have started buying the manga, because who needs to ever retire.

So Ninja Girl wrapped up, and has a new season coming, and is adorable.

So how bout that first episode of Attack on Titan S2?

Was pretty cool.

I enjoyed the first episode of My Hero Academia season 2, and I'm keeping my eye out for interesting things this season.

Awesome and disappointingly flat at the same time.

Glad that we have some new Attack on Titan, that was *way* too long in coming. 4 years between the start of S1 and S2...but glad it's here.

They could have provided a loophole for it all to end with a "some causalities but nobody of relevance dies" type of ending but didn't (good that they didn't) and on the other side there is some half random justification for Gjallarhorn to change and give up some of its power (why would Rustal even do that?). But Ride plotting revenge for the assassination did show that they didn't all just magically get better after the show (survivor's guilt/responsibility and they are highly loyal child soldiers after all)

Started watching Gundam Wing, now that it's available on Crunchyroll. LEAGUES better than Gundam Unicorn so far. For one thing, there's a lot less name-dropping.

I think Gundam Wing was my first Gundam series. I remember it fondly.
