Oh please! I wanted modular robots more than anything else on the bracket/survey by a mile.
If these are good at all, I'll get too many.

So did I, mostly, I submitted something like "Make Your Own Kill-Bot Contruction Kit" but I guess it got deleted as a duplicate of Modular Robots

Okay, call me crazy, but is that a Italian l3/35 tankette?

It logically make sense to me in regards to what WA been turning out so far: Fills in a hole in the market, easy to fit on 1-2 sprues, and generally neat or niche choices.

If I'm wrong it's a dead ringer for it then. Those tracks are nearly identical. The plates holding on the road-wheels don't quite match, but it could very well be an inside view of the plates.

Could be. The road wheels don't seem right, but I'm no expert. Actually, my first thought was "kettenkrad", but the road wheels are way off. Still, it may be one of the tracked oddities from the interwar era.

I'm a bit of a tank nut (somewhat why this has gotten me excited) which-is why I jumped to the one I did. I'm mainly looking at track-link style (take a look at the sides of the track), how the teeth fit onto the wheels (most tanks the teeth on the tracks fit into groves on the roadwheels unless the tracks and wheels are tiny/thin) and the fact that, for the size of the wheel and attaching plate there's no wheel close enough to work as part of bogie or Christie suspension. It pretty much comes down to italian inter-war light tanks and tankettes, they're the only ones that have this sort of single-wheel bogie, and the tracks match pretty much only with the l3/35 and l3/33 out of these. it's not exact, but for the size these things are at about the only way you'll get the sheer tinyness of the detail on this thing to cover the discrepancies is by using high-quality resin. Assuming it's at 28mm scale.

EDIT: Or it could be something completely different for Death Fields.

if it is (and i think your right unless it is something fictional)

I wonder if we'll get the flamethrower & trailer too (& solothurn 20mm rifle or brixia mortar to make the upgraded versions)

That'd be cool. Single kit that allows you to build an l3/33, l3/35, or 3/38, with bits for each version, and includes a second sprue which has parts for the flamethrower l3/33 and the AT version of the l3/35.

If you are correct in that it is an Italian tankette, it will compliment the WW2 Italian infantry already on the release schedule.

Now we need the commanders from Anzio High School to complete things.

This is just wishlisting but maybe build on the new tank with a Deathfields vehicle upgrade sprue in the future? Replace the MG with a plasma gun or laser, some various sci-fi bits or applique armor pieces etc.

That would be great. A GuP miniature game in general would be neat. I'm sure someone has made transfers for that.

A historical kit that has an optional sprue or parts to SF it up seems an absolutely genius idea. Hopefully leading to less silly looking SF AFVs as a side effect.

Well that would be ideal. Would be pretty handy to have some scifi parts tailored to 28mm/ 1/48th small vehicles.

A plastic sprue with various death rays and robo guns for fitting onto vehicles could be pretty good. I'd certainly be up for a vehicle conversion sprue. So here's to hoping, I guess.

Modular robots would also be extremely cool to see. Talk about a kit that would be fun to just make stuff from.

I used to daydream GW would make a "looted vehicle sprue" to convert anything into Orks

Yep, looks like a l3/33 variant with a slight artistic license.

I don't think I've seen another vehicle with this sort of wheel layout.

Got my shipping notice for my cannon fodder!

Super excited to try out a bunch of stuff - different guns, different heads, random bits from my box. With 90 of the dudes I've got a lot of bodies to work with.

They already announced french imperial guard, so that is not much of a surprise

More excited about the indian mutiny sets.

Got my first cannon fodder two weeks ago and put 30 of them together. Very versatile and do mix well with the arms of the Stargrave figures. Still not decided on where to put the chains on my convict conscripts...

Those Conquistadors are going to make great stand in for Empire state troops.

Crossbowmen, Swordsmen, Spearmen, Greatswords, Halberdiers, and Handgunners.

All that WGA need to do now is a mounted Conquistador kit to go along side it, for Pistolliers.

Must say I am tempted to pick up a few boxes to do a small Empire army.

The objective of the game is to win. The point of the game is to have fun. The two should never be confused.

Or if you don't want to commit quite that much, a single box could make an awesome Mordheim band.
I'd use 'em with Marienburger rules.

They did preview the cavalry, which is currently listed as "additional sculpting", but no pistols on what they have shown and i remember them commenting that there wouldn't be any pistols... but since they are still in sculpting, maybe they will change their minds.

I am looking forward to both kits, and the landsknecht ogres for a nice themed army that will probably just sit on my shelf! But it will be a glorious shelf army!!!

My big plan with the Conquistador kits is:

1 Box of Infantry & Cavalry to get bits and upgrade the existing 5th/6th Edition Empire models, take Mantic horses for heavy cavalry (I have a lot of them), WGA ones for light cavalry
using old 5th Edition metal Knights for large cavalry on thunderwolves
Landsknecht Ogres either as unit filler or their own unit depending on how the kit looks like
adding WGA and Mantic Halflings for some special troops or mass units

going for League of Rhordia list as base with the different units being from different cities (to make most use of the head options) with an overall Middenland/White Wolf theme

Aztecs! They've finished tooling and the first test shots have been quickly snapped on the factory floor. These will go into production along with the Conquistadors. There will be five of these sprues in each box for 30 figures.
There is no release date yet but we assume sometime in late December or early January. The first US-made sets are being done now and we are working out the new schedules based on how these go. Doing things in the US means that everything has changed - new injection, new box printing, new box packing, new cartons and until we've had a few releases under our belts we won't know exactly how long each step will take but so far it looks like it's even speedier than China. We'll report back as we go.

hot off the facebook, can't wait to pre-order these and the conquistadores
