Yeah you think I wasn't aware? Check my post yesterday:

Are we asking if every new set is FW just because that one box with Kal some years ago was GW plastic? Come on, it's always FW resin.

That one release, and now every new mini has a bunch of people asking if it's plastic... is it plastic? Is it GW?

Wait, FW seriously put a bolter's IRON SIGHT on the bottom of the barrel?

It's a targeter linked to the marine's auto-senses - but the issue with having it on the bottom is there's nowhere for a bayonet to go...

And can we please leave it at that and not repeat years' old arguments...

One release that’s already been mentioned out of the dozens of releases that have been FW, and the Kal Jericho release was part of a special black library thing where they also reprinted all of the old Kal Jericho.l books.

How is it proof of anything?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kal Jericho & Scabbs is currently the only set of Black Library characters which have been released for Necromunda, right?

If we're talking track records, that would imply they are a better example for Klovis/Malakev than the characters that have been created from scratch for Necromunda over the last few years.

It'll be interesting to see if their release is accompanied by a MTO reprint run of the comics Klovis featured in. Seems an open goal to score some extra revenue in.

Water Guild were always going to be resin, no arguments there, but these two at least have a chance of being a plastic release - I'm not overly worried about the material, though.

I don't know anything about Kal Jericho or Klovis, but here are some simple, true statements:

- WH40K novels have a bigger footprint than WH40K comics. Characters from novels have bigger release potential than characters from comics.

- A non-aligned character who can join any gang will have bigger release potential than a faction-locked character.

Now, I don't actually know if Klovis was also in novels, beyond the comics he was in. And I don't actually know if he works with other gangs. I do know those are resin models from Forgeworld, though.

Care to back up your "simple, true statements" with anything other than self-described ignorance and "release potential"?

No, because they're self-evident, and anyone disagreeing with them is just being a contrarian.

Do you think that comic sales outpace book sales? Or that a character usable by 1/6 players is likely to sell more than a character usable by 6/6 players? If you don't think either of those things then what's your actual problem?

So now your opinion is a popular one too? Awesome, dude, I hope you find satisfaction in knowing you're correct because your opinion is self-evident and that your correctness is agreed upon by consensus.

I can't tell if those are his books or other people's books... Either way, they're nicely colored but harder to stand on than rubble or rocks, esp. in such a high stack.

Klovis can only be hired by Outlaw Cawdor gang, so more like 0.5 of 12 gangs. However Redemptionists are always Outlaw, so maybe more like 0.75 :p

There aren't that much 40k comics. Still BL and GW made several models in the past (Blood Quest, Daemonifuge, Kal Jerico + his mother, Redeemer + Malakev + Caller, Uli & Marquand, Lone Wolves...).

Now we have Kal + sidekick and Ephrael + sidekick in plastic. It wouldn't be a revolution if the Redeemer would be too.

I think the pair is resin, though. But there's no need for that kind of discussion. Especially with arguments that could be disproved by either side. Just wait and see.

What is your counter argument then? Anything to address the points made besides attacking the poster? If you disagree, what do you actually disagree about?

I have no interest in Cawdor, but I may grab Klovis to run as a priest for my Guard just because of how he looks. I know basically nothing about him as a character.

It's also perfect for Sororitas players since their codex allows a Preacher with Eviscerator (Zealot something it's called actually) now, and there's no official model of it. It can work as a standard Missionary with Chainsword as well.

£42 for the syphoning delegation, same as the Slaver Entourage release a while back.

Not sure if that’s a good price or not.

Not terrible, when you consider Deeproot is that on his own.

I'll likely get them eventually, but I'm behind on the FW releases I want already, got about half of those released across Necro and BB.

I’m holding off on non-book Necromunda stuff for now.

I’m hoping to arrange a campaign locally, but want to gauge interest before I start buying Hired Guns and that. My intent is to have a limited number of each, rather than allow the players to hire and fire willynilly.

Unorthodox I know, but I think it’ll make for a more immersive experience.

Mercator delegations would be treated likewise.

There kind of is? Pious Vorne from the WQ:BF extra heroes pack matches the equipment. Similarly, the new default priest gear matches the preacher model from the same set.
