Well gents, I need some help. I am going to start work on my Chaos themed Fallen Angels army after I finish up my Steel Legion IG army. Here is my issue, how to incorporate a Demon Prince into the army? The Fallen Angels fluff really does not allow it, so I am thinking of how to make a model and just have it use the Demon Prince stats, but not actually be a Demon Prince. Now it still has to remain close to the size and on the same size base obviously. Some ideas I have had so far is...

Fallen Angels Demon Prince w/ Lash, Wings

Represented by

- Fallen Angels Dreadnought decked out with CCW, and some sort of Grappling hook?
- ???

I am open to suggestions! Thanks in advance gents!

If you're not planning to use any other dreadnoughts then that could probably work.
Is there any reason it couldn't be an incredibly bad-ass looking Chapter Master type model? What's the army background are they heavily Chaotic or just Traitor Marines?

I wanted something special for my Slannesh Daemon Prince.
So what I did is I took a Saint Celestine from the SoB army And added in Wings, horns, tentalces, and raised her up into the air with some wire for the last little bit of height I needed.
So if you count her wings She's just a little bit bigger than the new plastic DP, which works out rather well.

"There are no wolves on Fenris" Sindermann had said
"Except, of course... for the wolves, ser?" he had replied.
"Exactly, Kasper,"

I would love to have a bad-ass looking Chapter Master model, just he really big enough to match the size of the Demon Prince model. Also the Fallen Angels aren't really Chaos, just excommunicated. They are being hunted and although I am using the Chaos Codex, my marines will have no Chaos icons.

@Phat
That May work, I will have to look into it, possibly use the new Sanguinor Model and throw some wings and such to see if it can be made into a Fallen Angel-esque HQ.

He is a falled angel right?

Simply go with the usual cloak and robes look.
Add in a set of pegasus (sp?) wings to him.
Pose him so he is suspended in the air to help with size issues.
Go to town on his base.

Should help keep it in the fluff, look good and make it play fine.

Okay, the Daemon Prince issue is solved for now...but what about modeling obliterators? Any ideas there gents? I have figured maybe heavily armored terminators?

Modelling what? Are you using other terminators in the army? If not you can just use terminators with heavy weapons.

Maybe try gun-servitors as Oblits?

Gun servitors would work well. Use Epic LRs as the track base, and anything suitable for the top half.

Personally I would convert up super-awesome Termies, with dual-cannon arms and missile launchers on their backs. Conversion-heavy, but would look awesome.

The winged DP would be as good as any chance to give a dread a big-ass jetpack..

I am probably going to go with some termie conversion, need to figure out how to mount all the weapons, damn twin-linked everything. In regards to the DP I am having size issues with using a sanguinor or something that size, so it seems I am going to use a dread as a base probably

I would make a space marines that is unusually large and has a black pair of bird wings.

What about converting one of the inquisitor range space marines?

They are a bit too large. I am leaning towards the Dreadnought right now, I can say it is a Fallen Angels Dreadnough of some sort with a Metal Chain (Whip) and a Blood Talon (Represents CCW). Also I believe the dreads come on the same size base and are roughly the same size.

A 'normal' marine model on an ultra-fancy DP-sized base, including a platform of some kind to bring him up to standard DP model height?

Some sort of wings (symbolic or actually flying) would certainly help bulk out the model size - have you considered the new BA plastics? (e.g. perhaps combining two of the sanguinary guard jumppacks?)

For oblits, I've always considered them to be ex-terminators who've utterly given themselves over to being weapon platforms, so perhaps yours could represent termies beginning to mutate under the Chaos Gods' "blessings" of the Fallen angels, their termy origins are still obvious but bizarre distortions are also becoming obvious.

Or, just model them as Fallen Angel unique termies, carrying some super super weapon, and with other modifications to better fit the oblit stats and make them obviously not standard termies.

I am leaning towards using that as inspiration. It looks like it could be an old Horus Heresy-Era Dreadnought, but still look pretty mean! ideas?

Also it seems he did use an Inquisitor model as a base maybe.

That thing is hot!! I like the idea of using a dread for a count as DP. If you have the money, I would suggest a FW dread as they usually have more extras on the model. Using their DA dread would have that fallen angel look with a bit of converting. If you want some more inspiration I made a dread for my Word Bearer out of a Defiler kit. Its huge and everything has LOS to it but its badass looking. I have a pic of it in my gallery with a Termi Lord next to it for comparison.

As for the termis, maybe make something similar to a techmarines servo harness for them. You dont have to model all the weapons but maybe each one with a different heavy weapon shown could work.
