A 1,250 list would be great too just in case we go higher. We are both learning the game, I have a sizeable Ogre army built up already.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Is he working on a budget? i.e. Is he looking for a cheap way to get to 1000? Or is that not really an issue?

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.

On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

I'm starting up Daemons too, and money's not really an issue. Post whatever! I'd really like to see a variety of quality lists.

The best advise I could give is make sure you mix and match your gods. Since they don't make an army box I would recommend picking up 2 boxes of Bloodletters, Daemonettes, and Horrors with something like a WoC Tzeentch lord to use for a Herald of Tzeentch. This Will get him up to around your point total, and make a solid list. I convert Bloodletters for Khorne Heralds, and I converted the Masque for my Sleensh Heralds she works really good for that. You might notice I did not mention Nurgle, it isn't because I don't like them, it's just cheaper to go with the plastics, and as he/she work their way up in points you can add some pewter Nurgle in if they think they might like them.

He ended up buying a Box of Bloodletters, a Box of Daemonettes, 10 Horrors, 5 Fleshhounds and 5 Plague bearers and found out he needs 5 more to even make a unit. We like all the input. We figure to balance it out he can go with a Herald of Khorne and 10 Horrors or a Herald of Tzennetch and 10 Bloodletters. Can a http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440108a&prodId=prod1050011 be used as a HoK and a http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat440108a&prodId=prod1050018 be used as a HoT?
