I am writing to GW about their high prices. Please post with polite language for a petition entry for GW to lower prices, as this thread will be going on the letter, give away vouchers in White Dwarf (like the older white dwarfs), or introduce a loyalty points scheme, which gives you points worth something worthwhile (not just a few pence off per £5 spent for example). By posting on this thread, you are signing the petition.

Good luck with that. While you're at it, can you write to the grocery stores, petrol stations and utilities too, their prices are also quite high.

Good luck but you are on a hiding to nothing. As has been commented in many a thread on this forum ad infinitum, the only way you will ever see a marked change in GW pricing policy is if a large portion of the gaming public vote with their wallet. Simple as that.

I'm sorry, Peatreed, but GW just does not in general listen to petitions; they've made it very clear in the ast that the indivual hobbyist means nothing to them. They'll just keep on raising the prices as far as they think they can get away with, and in truth unless one of us buys the corporation or a miracle happens that isn't going to change any time soon.

This isn't going to change GW, they listen to their bussiness department for prices not internet hooligans.

Better off getting all of your local players into something else at least someone might notice that.... well maybe not but give that a shot.

I was not trying to get GW to listen what you say as such, although it would be helpful, but just to show that this is an opinion shared by many people.

Probably work

Fantastic idea Peatreed. I just have one question: What's going to make this work when all of the prior boycotts, pleading, letters, and petitions failed?

Well, sending nothing and being grumpy internet monkeys definitely won't make any difference.

Hey Daedalus, I am sending a letter rather than an e-mail, as it will be more formal, and stress it's importance. It may fail, but all we can ever do is try. My letter will be extremely thorough. Also, can we not post demoralizing comments on this forum, as you are supporting, not reducing, my topic by commenting.

No one is in a horrible global economy. But they are doing pretty damn good. Especially talking to some of the people who own their stock. If the stockholders are happy, then Mr. Kirby and Mr. Wells are doing their jobs.

I don't like GW increases prices either. Makes my job a lot harder. But in the perspective of comics jumping 2.99 to 3.99, the other half of my business has been going up pretty steadily as well. FOW went up again, and Warmachine is keeping pace with GW.

Don't waste your time with a petition or letter. And it is indeed wasted effort.

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.
