Last night i played a game using my chaos daemons . I was very happy with my unit of 10 pink horrors they alone took out a unit of 16 Hormagaunts on the first turn 16 Termagants on turn 2 and on turn three took out 2 hive guard, they did more then my bloodletters, plague bearers, and herald of slaanesh together. That being said i very unimpressed with the bloodletters maybe against marines they would do better. Also not to impressed with my plague bearers. They held up tons of gaunts for 4 turns but only killed 4 gaunts. They would rock to hold objectives. but not to much use in a pitched battle. So my tactic question is what have you guys found usefull to take against tyranids. I can see flamers, horrors and soul grinders but what do you guys think?

Not a lot of people play demons.
The nurgle stuff is decent against nids because of how many big bugs there can be.

I am not fond of bloodletters. The slaanesh stuff have grenades and are init 6+, the bloodletter hit hard but can't take it...and when they charge things in cover they are init 1.

Great against nids? The demon version of lash. It's not a psychic power, so can't be stopped. More importantly, that small amount of movement can mean the difference between the enemy getting cover or not.

The soulgrinder annihilates little bugs really well. It's a good buy if you can keep the monsters away from it. In hth, genestealers can barely hurt it.

Customers ask me what army I play in 40k. Wrong Question. The only army I've never played is orks.

The Connoisseur of Crap.
Knowing is half the battle. But it is only half. Execution...application...performance...now that is the other half.

fiends of slaanesh do very well against bugs.

Slaanesh is really good in general for Daemons

Bloodletters are good if you take 10 of them and keep them protected, which is difficult, but they will eat through everything they get the charge on.

Plague bearers are Objective squatters nothing else.

and a Soul Grinder is ok though if you're not afraid to deep strike aggressively I found Flamers to be much better against hordes.
