In your base, ignoring your logic.

So yes, zombie mode has 100% been confirmed by Treyarch. However, some questions are raised by the presentation of the entire thing. I will start with the supposed achievement list that has listed several zombie-esque trophies.
For example they list surviving the Nova 6 gas as a trophy and killing seven monkeys in a research lab in under a short amount of time. This makes it seem like the whole plot ends up in this research lab for the main campaign which makes me wonder if we will see a LFD type of zombie mode.

Also, the hardened and prestige editions are supposedly coming with the first 4 zombie maps that have been redone in order to work with the new engine for black ops.

The presentation and hinting at of the zombie mode has been fantastic as only Activision can do, they created a whole conspiracy thing to get this out in the public by sending out briefcases marked with "GK" and filled with "documents, recordings, a pencil with numbers on it, and two .45 special casings." and the GKNOVA6 site ices the cake that is the zombie mode.

So, I guess what I was getting at is that there is indeed a zombie mode and that there will indeed be a continuation of some sort of story from the previous zombie mode as the map in Black ops will supposedly be in Russia(remember the Der Riese map pack 4 guesses; Area 51 or Tunguska?), but how it will be presented is its own question.

Will it be like a mini LFD game, similar to the Spec Ops mode, or true to the original Nazi Zombie modes? What do you guys think, which ones would you prefer, and why?

This may be reading too far into the entire concept.

The mode may have achievements specific to it, but that doesn't mean that it will tie into the main game. I doubt Treyarch would do that to the CoD series, as it's always had at least a loose sense of realism.

I think there will be a mode dedicated to zombie killing, and nothing more.
