Anyone like Epic 40k?.... I haven't played in while but I've painted up quite a large quantity from Imperial Guard, Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Alaitoc Eldar, Biel Tann Eldar, Nurgle, Evil Sunz, Goffs and Snakebitez. Does anyone else enjoy assembling and painting Epic stuff. I actually wouldn't mind finding someone in my are to play a few games. I'd prefer NetEpic rules....or 2nd edition in a pinch.

Here is a list of armies I have assembled/ready to go but not painted:
- All original Space Marine Chapters plus a few additions like Blood drinkers, Space Sharks, Mentor Legion, Lamenters, Legion of the Damned, Nova Marines (old school scheme) and a chapter of my own design called "Omicron Ceti Legion"
- Catachan IG Army plus smaller detachments from other IG units, not sure which yet. I have partially assembled a scratch build Ordinatus Gehenna (...it's bloody huge)
- Adeptus Arbites Army - this will be a relatively small force but big by 40k standards
- Adeptus Mechanicus Army - mostly conversions from other 6mm scifi wargames and parts from this and that. I've having a lot of fun designing this one... lots of latitude.
- Genestealer Cult Army - I'm designing this one to be a stand alone army that will pack a whallop with the help of lots of brood brother IG weapons.
- Saim Hann Eldar Army
- Ulthwe Eldar Army
- Iyanden Eldar Army
- Eldar Pirate Army - I'm designed this to be a good sized force composing 2 Eldar Pirate Factions - Void Watchers + Eldritch Raiders. I'm basing it on fluff I saw in the old Rogue Trader. Except lots of flyers and vehicles. May be a titan...
- All original Chaos Space Marine Legions plus Chaos Renegade force...not sure which one yet. Plus Slaanesh, Khorne + Tzeentch troops. I'm designing a Slaanesh war alter....
- Silver Skulls titan legion force - 1 Imperator, 6 Warlords, 1 Custodian warlord titan, 1-2 reavers, 2 warhounds. (how I would love to lay my hands on a psi titan)
- Warp Runners titan legion force - 1 Warmonger, 3 Warlords, 2 warhounds
- individual titans from other legions
- Chaos Titan Legions - Festering Death for sure. Others I haven't decided on yet. I have a spare Imperator that I want to convert heavily....hee hee hee...
- Bad Moon Army - Several Gargants plus usual troops
- Death Skulls Army - will be fairly small
- Blood Axe Army - same as above
- Independent Orc Freebooter force - will be small
- Harlequin Grande Troupe - ...oh yeah, this one is going to be fun - it's going to be big enough to irk 40k peeps I think..oh well, it's my 40k universe.... I have what I think is a cool Harlequin titan ready to go, very much a kit bash conversion...
- Tyranids.... may be.... I have the minis, just don't really know if they belong in my 40k universe. My Genestealer Cult army is independent, leaning towards chaos.
- I also want to build a Emporer of Mankind force, consisting of the Emperor, Adeptus Custodes body guard army and I want to scratch build a Super-Imperator titan - the Emperor's personal ride !!

wow, that's a lot of painting...but what can I say I love it...anyhow, I'd love to hear about other peoples armies/collections/plans.....

Thanks for the great welcome everyone !! I think GW dropped the ball on Epic, great potential. I haven't had a chance to really go over the Armageddon rules, but I plan to. My first choice would be Netepic. And, Yes I have a ton of minis, a closet full, mostly all primed and ready for the brush. Thank you Ebay. My planned projects should probably take me until I'm a senior citizen.... I manage to paint about an hour a day average and on rainy/snowy days I paint for many hours. I've always loved Epic stuff. Curis, have you played Armageddon? What is the general feel like? Is it more streamlined than 2nd edition?

Welcome to dakka.

I never got into Epic, but have fond memories of reading battle reports and watching games at my local club in the early 1990's.
