Off the top of my head: The latest book releases were Beastmen and Skaven. The oldest at this point are Brettonians, Wood Elves, and Tomb Kings.

“It was in lands of the Chi-An where she finally ran him to ground. There she kissed him deeply as he lay dying, and so stole from him his last, agonized breath.
On a delicate chain at her throat, she keeps it with her to this day.”

No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester
The Gatling Guns have flamethrowers on them because this is 40k - DOW III

Chaos Dwarves officially aren't an army.
Tomb Kings is the oldest book at this point - by a good sized margin. Now that the Dark Eldar have a new codex out next month, it's the oldest "live" army list in either of the Warhammer games. I'm not sure, but I think the second oldest Fantasy army book is Ogre Kingdoms.

Hmmm, is wood elves newer than ogres? I remember the new ogre book coming out, my brother bought it the day it was released, and I'm pretty sure the current wood elves book was already out.

Agreed, Tomb Kings then Ogre Kingdoms. Wood Elves and Bretonnians have generally been last in the army book cycle.
