So...thinking of building a Venom, am intrigued by idea of twin-boom tail like the Lockheed P-39 (the Schwanztuefel, or forked tail devil) or the Sea Vixen, with 2 Reavers forming the boom nodes - what are others' Venom plans?

My german is clearly rusty, as that is NOT how I broke down the word Schwanztuefel! XD

The codex said they were similar to Vypers in size & basic shape. I'd probably take a vyper & make it more dark eldar looking if I planned on running them, as is I'm more of a raider fan.

I wouldn't use the word Schwanzteufel in front of German speaking folks, they might blush, hit or laugh out loud, before you can explain what you really mean by it
Concerning the Venom, I will wait for the official model coming out soon (June latest). A twin boom sound like having almost no transport capacity for troops, so I don't see how you will make that work. Maybe explain it a bit more.

I've just taken a Raider, assembled hull, cut in half, and put the forward part of a Vyper on it. Add blades, chains, etc. to Dark Eldar-it a bit. Bought everything at discount, so it just comes to the cost of a regular priced Raider. They work for me, still smaller than a Raider and looks like you can actually have some models hanging off of it.

I'd just go off the pictures of the one from the citadel journal Harlequins codex for 3rd ed.

Sleeker looking raider, essentially with a vyper front end.
