So I had an idea about a month ago, after seeing a guy at my club fielding a fair few bikes, I thought about how a motorbike's style and design has managed to survive 38,000 odd years without much changing.
I wanted to create a technological variation of this, not with any intention of using my creation, but just to see what my imagination could make for 38,000 years of improvement and re-design

SO...

I spoke to my brother (who works for GW) to find out if he's seen anything that might be innovative or unique I could draw inspiration from. He came up with nothing....cheers mate! But he had a Skaven Doomwheel in bits on the side, which I took one look at the box and instantly knew this would be the base of my creation

Anyway, a month later, models cut up and glued in various position, time spent away from loved ones, frustration mounting to find ideal bits that some worked and others didn't, I finally achieved my idea!

There's still some painting needed, but I think I'm almost there!

(Sorry for poor quality camera shots, was using a cam. phone that was laying on the side, but it'll do i guess)

looks interesting, would definately catch the attention of an opponent. The dreadnought engine seems a little arbitrarily placed though. I would like to see a whole squad of these

1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Probably work

It's interesting. Something about it almost makes it feel more Orky though. Could just be me.

I sort of tried to keep it to my custom chapter's fluff:

The Emperor's Jesters aren't the most 'conventional' chapter, and due to their 'manical' ways they border on the line of pure loyalist and renegade-loyalist (sort of a Soul Drinker but without being excommunicae)

Love the idea but I'm unconvinced about the spikes/blades as well as the warp stone thingy on the front. Though I don't know about your fluff so it may all actually fit hahah

As for the engine I feel it should be more like horizontal engine exhausts, similar to what the existing bikes have.

Just my opinion though, great work on the model

I had similar misgivings as "Just bake a Cake" about the weapons, but also, not knowing your fluff, it could work...the only other thing is the wooden treads. I think it would look much better with a more "rubber" tread look, or maybe even metal, but that's just me. It does look quite Orky, but all in all it is VERY well put together and painted piece, and I want one!

Nice, I like it!
I would like to see one of these with a dozer blade, no engine, and model the marine inside running like a demented hamster powering the thing, it would look great!

While being cool, it still looks too Skaveny. In fact, I can still see a Skaven Logo in the last pic. TBH, I don't know what I would do to improve it, though more Sci-fi stuff could be good.

Never expected someone to combine space marines and skave doomwheel.. But so if you are looking for unique idea I think you just nailed it.
