I was playing a 2k pitched battle against my buddy at the flgs and I had a unit of 30 goblin archers with the BSB wich had spider banner thus giving all of my archers poison. I deployed them to the far left of the board along with a 40 man ng spearmen with nets and three fanatics and a giant to lock donw the area. 4 hours later and my archers managed to wipe 1200 points of ogres off the table including a general bsb and butcher.

I have never had a unit pull off like that and am very much impressed by its capabilities. He managed to kill them at the end of turn 6 giving him a minor lead over me in vp. All in all it was a very effective play and the giant took out a unit of bullys with his yell and bawl ability that made them flee off board while the ng released the fanatics and wiped out a 30 man unit of grotlings (i believe thats what they are called..)

Gnoblars I believe are the Ogre Kingdoms equivalent of goblins

And yeah, Poisoned Attacks are really nice and very effective at taking down tougher units.

Nobody likes a Gnoblar.

I always run my butchers with magic weapons. They do a very good job and cleaning up assassins and units depending on poison (since butchers are immune to poison).
The trio of butchers have done an incredible job sweeping away such nonsense. Not to mention that tripling down on "Take a panic test" has done wonders on the flanks.
(They join 3 maneaters, and fill the front rank), long swords in the back.

How'd the rest of your army fair with your BSB out on the flank?

Now to think about it, my three butchers would constantly use bone cruncher or whatever it was called on the skinks and wiped out 24 of them!
