I'm actually excited about painting Eldar. I guess after painting a lot of Orks, I just went for the exact opposite. Anyway, here's the Wraithlord I just finished.

Very nice job on the face. Do you sketch them out on something and transfer guidelines or start building it up on the model itself?

Beautiful! Reminds me of something out of AT-43, actually, but only in good ways.

The quality of the painting is very nice indeed. Although I think the face really doesn't work aesthetically, I do think it is very well done. Have you read/seen any guides or did you learn it yourself?

The red on the stones is a great spot colour for the grey. Pose is great, painting's fabulous. Brilliant!

Overall I think it is amazing. However, I also believe the face is out of place. Its very well done, but doesn't fit the model.

The face works for me because it's in a dynamic, angry pose. If it were in a normal situation, the lights wouldn't be so emphatic and the face wouldn't be able to be see. I like how it turned out.

Luna, I think there was a Falcon entered in one of the GD's that had ghost-like faces on it.

This is very cool, I love the way the striping enhances the sense of motion and don't think the face is out of place at all. While the color is relatively monochrome, it works here - especially with the red gem accents - in a way that it wouldn't if the color were more vibrant.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

The pose is excellent.

The flamboyance of the paint job makes a strange contrast to the conservative, monochrome color. Almost seems like something so well done deserves a more vibrant color, but it's a great model. The tabard seems to be a bit of a departure from the color scheme -- any reason for the contrasting warmth in the tabard?
