I have been trying get help a friend of mine pur together a 1500 all comers nids list. He reaaly doesn't want to play a hoard but is always losing to lists that have instant death cc weapons like my ghaz nob unit. I am thing two units of hive guard for dealing with light transports, walkers and glancing hits on land raiders and battlewagons. I have a few other ideas but I need some ideas from the dakka community to help him out. Thank you.

I would suggest doing a search of this forum, I know there are quite a lot of list for Nids especially when the new codex came out. Since you haven't listed anything to be used, as in regard to what your friend currently has, you can just pick and choose which ever list that's already listed that may suit his liking.

I have done a search and a bunch of 1850 lists and a few 1500 list that are more hoards which he does not want to do.

Go all ninja with an MC and stealers heavy list is my advice if he wants to avoid horde.

So that means a flyrant with Hive Commander. Lots of stealers with toxin, perhaps also a unit of devilgaunts in Spods.

2-3 units of Zoanthropes in spods.

Then flavour with Trygons and another Flyrant. You want at least 3 preferably 4 hard hitting MCs all capable of DSing in.

Just an idea cutting here and there from my 1850 full deepstriking list:

HQ - Tyrant - Paroxism & Leech Essence - Bonesword & Lashwhip - single TL Devourer - Hive Commander - Wings. 270
EL - 2x Zoanthropes - Mycetic Spore. 160
EL - Doom of Malan'Tai. 130
TR - 15x Termagants - 15x Devourers - Mycetic Spore. 190
TR - 15x Termagants - 15x Devourers - Mycetic Spore. 190
TR - 8x Genoraptors - Toxin Sacs. 136
HV - Trygon - Adrenal Glands. 210
HV - Trygon - Adrenal Glands. 210

I can only add that this list, for me, actually worked very very good 'til now.
Obiviously a little hard vs anti-psyonics (especially in tournaments) but manageable in anycase.

Yeah Toban's list is pretty solid, flavour with more Zoanthropes and stealers for less Devilgaunts or no Doom (who's been largely curtailed by the FAQ).

I'd say that looks a little stronger but both lists are good. This one is more assaulty but with better AV the previous one more shooty.
