"The Bone Sabre's ATTACKS inflict Instant Death regardless of the opponent's Toughness. In addition, any successful invulnerable saves made against HITS inflicted by the Bone Sabres must be re-rolled."
So if an Archon with Shadow Field gets 3 to-wound roll from a Swarmlord, does this mean it needs to re-roll 3 times of the invul save?

Alright, if you wound an archon 3 times who happens to have shadowfield. he would than have to essentially make 6 2+ invulnerable saves or die.

That's correct so basically you go like this: Roll for invulnerable save...passed...reroll it and do that 3 times and if at any point a 1 is rolled his is instagibbed.

On my canoness (same issue basically) I just grab three different colors of dice and roll all 6 togehter. Any 1 means I get ID.

This normally works but shadow field specifically calls out to roll each save separately and one by one because of how the field works.

Maybe I don't understand, but given any single failed save kills the Archon (as well as blowing the shadow field) is there really a difference?

In this situation, you don't even need dif colored dice. Just roll 6 dice, and 1's and you die.

just like if you get hit with, say, 3 S6+ attacks you might as well just roll 3 dice and move on with your life.
RAW, roll them individually because the codex tells you that you have to. At the table? It really won't matter.

Funny enough, yo do not take invulnerable saves from hits, you take them from wounds...
So RAW you do not have to re-roll the successful ones, since you can not take an invulnerable save from a hit, only from a wound!

Wait a minute. There are now vehicles with Invulnerable saves, so there ARE now models that take invulnerable saves against hits.
