Shaso - Thanks mate! Been slacking on my catch-ups, I need to head over and see what you've done with your hanomag soon.....
ldd - They use those in the upper class areas of Neo-Londinium, not many folks in Mek-Town can afford them, or the robo-servants
Cheers, I knew it would look too flat if I left the bricks all the same.
Okay, first off a little something from the finished pile.....Yes, there is such a thing - although, obviously, it's not so much of a pile as an occasional figure, but that doesn't scan so well.....
To be honest there's not a lot different to the last time you saw him, but you know, I feel that I should mark the occasion of finishing something in some small way Hmm, actually, I do believe that's the first finished figure of the year
Meanwhile, back at the brothel....
Some robots:
The fallen - Automaton Red 2
The shocked - Automaton Pink 4
The contempltive - Automaton Green 7
The angry - Automaton Green 3 (I'm sure he was supposed to be Blue 3....guess the old blue on yellow caught me out again )
All need a litle tidy up around their number plates, and AR2 needs the loose wires coloured.
And the cause of the accident...
The Tesla Buggy.
I really needed this one to be the cause of the accident rather than the vehicle based on the old sentinel, as I wanted the driver to be out of the vehicle - the accident happened a few moments ago, giving the police bike a chance to turn up. The old sentinel really needs to have a driver in place due to the solid nature of the body - I'm really not up for trying to hollow that out
The older version of this looked just a little to big to be trundling down the narrow streets of Mek-Town, so I chopped down the fron roller legs, filled in the floor and any gaps from the previous attempt, re-did the two 'wings' and added some gubbins to them, then put a console, chair and lever inside fro detail. There's still a bit of detailing needed on the side, plus one side needs a step for access, plus I need to add a rim to the bubble canopy, and create the hinge.
Kept the girls out of shot this time to save GirrafeX's eyes from straining too hard
The sign outside the brothel is made from some nicely shaped sprue that came with my Wrath of Kings KS. It was originally planned to be horizontal, but it looked a little too clunky/large there, so fitting it vertically worked well, and enabled me to add a bit of detail to the front. I've been trying to create a female silhouette out of watch parts to place on the sign, but not had much luck so far - I may end up with just a standard silhouette with cogs etc surrounding it.....

Llama - Cheers! Never enough civvy stuff going on, but then again, it is a war-gaming forum I suppose And I hope that even when I do the same old stuff, it's not the same old stuff
Doc - Thanks! I will.......
So, finally started on the driver and a couple of the girls....
And kind of finished......
Didn't get it anywhere near what I was hoping for, bare minimun of figures I needed for the scene (victim group, driver and a solitary passer-by - afraid none of the girls made it to the final photo-shoot. Still, I guess that saves Giraffe's eyes ), and even then they're not really finished paint-wise.
Here's a few of the 'finished' pics....
More here if you're interested.... http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-30344-46243_Loer%2013%20Done.html
So, lots to do still - girls for the bordello, random denizens of mek-town, furnishings for the bordello, workers for the construction site, interior details for the warehouse, more cables and wires, litter and debris, posters, police.....and possibly a few more random bits that I think of along the way.
Brother's wedding in a couple of days, so there's that to prepare for, then maybe a few chaos builds just to cleanse the palette, then back to this dio maybe over or after Easter.
Cheers for stopping by......

Although you never finished it what you have done is awesome mate and best of all it tells a story, that still has to be one of the best uses for a crappy leman russ turret and the knocked over robot is hilarious
Plus this is something you can go back and revisit add to later, I'm also really liking the ladies of leisure your adding especially the cybernetique one , well that girl has enhancements
The actual work you got done and the quality in the time frame is great, hey maybe you can add the only fools and horses to this as well I always wanted to see that finished.
well congrats to your brother " SUCKER " LOL no hope it goes well

ldd - Thanks man! I will indeed be re-visiting the piece, and adding further details to it....I have plenty of bits put to one side for it. SHould have gone for something smaller if I was going to finish it
The Trotterz won't be added to this...orks don't fit in this particular world....I'm not even sure if any aliens do. I plan to expand on this world with further pieces so we'll see what occurs...but at present it's more a kind of retro-future Earth, don't think the inhabitants have expanded past the moon, or possibly Mars yet.
The Trotterz are still lying around the place though....so someday.........
Gawdam - Thanks a bunch!
Gir - Hah...cheers! Don't hold your breath...but there will be progr...I mean girls
Llama - Thanks! I'll definitely be entering this world again, and although there will be conflict I think I'll be using it to explore the more 'civilian' side of things.
Dr H - Thank you. Progress (and girls) will appear.
So, even though I didn't finish the piece I still placed third - chuffed to bits with that considering how much more I want to add.
The doc won with his wonderful crashed UFO, and so continues the cycle by running round 14:

Well....sorry gang, those girls never did appear did they. I have done across a few still trying to make it to me-town on my recent trawl through various bit likes though, so not impossible.
Right, let's see if we can remember how this all works
Just over three years, wow, better not make any promises but we'll see if I can't produce a few bits and pieces in the future.
*** Insert lifestyle and many heartfelt apologies, memories and "I missed you guys" remarks here ***
That was less traumatic than I expected
Ok, the proper stuff (no, no rivets yet):
Inquisitorial retinue with just a touch of colour...they've had a splash of yellow added since but that's for later
The Lancer, pip. CSM who seems to have taken a leaf out of the mekboyz book...
Chaos marine put together to see if I can still build stuff....he's currently all blue, not sure I like it, seems a bit too ultrasmurfy to me
Note to self, use laptop next time, too many autocorrects on the tablet, and I'm still not sure those pics will actually appear
Anyway, I'll leave now whilst you're all still reeling from my being here. It may take me a while to catch up with all your shenanigans in the meantime

Cam - Cheers, and good to be here!
Vik - I was just playing hide-and-seek, seems I hid too well..... And thank you!
ldd - Thanks dog! I'm fairy sure conversions will still be the name of the game
Always been an Inq fan, just could never settle on which direction to take with a retinue in 28mm.
If remember correctly yellow was my go-to for easy weathering...
Ahh, your memories slipping if you don't remember any marines in my work - of both sides, but obviously chaos is the more fun
Dr H - Merci mon ami! I mean, 3 years off, the least I could do was show a splash of colour....you know it won't be common.
CK - Danke! His tech-marine and apothecary had obviously spent some time watching grreenskins, took a little bit from everywhere when the re-built him...
So easing my way back in with a few concepts...still require cleaning and final posing/loads in most cases...
A little alien/mutie scumbag:
Needs a bit more gear round his waist.
A typical three-legged Slaaneshi marine:
Not sure if he'll keep the powerfist. Legs need rounding out a bit in profile, thinking he'll get circular feet, although the possibility of wheels did just occur to me
Jellyfish McGee, the tentacular chopper:
Think it has to be melee for this guy, ducking and a-weaving on his floppy, bouncy, slimy limb-likes
Another typical three-legged follower of Slaanesh:
Not sure if I want to extend his waist a little. Looks slightly off, but that's normally a good thing in my book
Snaaake:
Looked like he was just chilling and needed a gin in one hand, but I think I'll go with the pistol of plasma death for now. This gu has had a touch of glue and green-stuff already, so probably the first of this bunch to get fully made.
And plenty of gluing been going on with this one:
Needs a few more accessories, maybe some chains, definitely some sort of backpack to ensure he's a marine champ rather than a daemonic entity.
And that'll do for now methinks...thanks for popping in, and the warm welcome back!

ldd - Not sure what you mean, some of them have three, that must surely show some leg love...
CK - Hmm, I see what you mean, maybe I'll switch the head out, think the 'mane' is adding to that vibe. Or maybe I won't......I like the idea of hooves
Dr H - Thank you.
Tiny touches of colour applied, but not enough worth showing. May attempt a bit more over the weekend, but I really need to be concentrating on my costume for BladeRunner Secret Cinema....
So instead, a few more bits of plastic stuck together (most still need cleaning and detailing):
See, 2 normal legs..
Needs some waisty type shenanigans..
A little noise marine:
Shorter legs (there's a longer legged version still waiting on weapons) meant a ranged loadout for this one.
Short style snake marine:
Probably build his base up a little bit to stop him feeling short-changed
Bit of terminator action:
Needs something on the back of the axe, and not convinced on the fist as yet....
More Snaaaake
Went back and forth several times between marine and terminator bodies, so possibly variants on this to come. Fist will be getting some kind of firearm built in, still looking at parts. Again, axe needs something to the rear.
Lars 'The Dragonfly' Maeflin:
Still in need of some pouches, and some tiny gubbins around the wings.
Maybe it for a few days, depends on how costume making goes...
