Primaris stuff is looking awesome, especially the Captain.

Thanks EDC, glad you like. Here's this weeks work, more Intercessors and a Primaris Lieutenant

I'm going to give all Lieutenants that shoulder pad. All Ancients will get the wolf skull and crossed bones pads. I'm super excited for the Reivers, going to go Deathsworn with mine; half feral wearing actual skulls as masks. If the Primaris Librarian is in Gravis armour I'll convert one out of the spare Primaris Gravis Captain I have, with a skull-topped staff of ancient oak and runes aplenty (wargear dependent)

Been working on the Primaris, got the entire first Dark Imperium assembled yesterday. I'll paint them up over the weekend. Started on the second Dark Imperium but ran out of shoulder pads from the upgrade kit so had to wait. Built a Chapter Ancient for the Firewolves while I waited.

The totem borne by the Ancient is an irreplaceable relic of long-lost Fenris, given into the care of the Firewolves when they left the Nine Worlds.

I'm also working on a runic method of marking out squads of Primaris; each will have a rune followed by a number, so squad 1 of the Primaris Intercessors will have an algiz rune (kinda like Y) which symbolises protection and warding off evil. Librarians have a perthro rune which symbolises mysteries and occult abilities. This is followed by a number of the squad. I'll get some work done on painting test models for each by the end of the week

Also just assembled my last Mk III armour sets. They'll be going into Hod Grimmursson's Grand Company, which desperately needs some work.

I've been at work since 0600. As you can see, it's been quite productive

Expect many more posts today

So, nothing to show for this, yet, but I've been thinking on the idea of a multi-Chapter marine force for a while. I think I've posted about it before. I recently purchased some Deathwatch, and I've also kinda gotten sick of Wolves for this week after assembling 47 Primaris and having to convert every last one to get the look right. So, break time!

I have the following:
All the Blood Angels from Space Hulk, 2 squads of Death Company, 2 Furiosos, a Baal Predator and a squad of Sanguinary Guard, as well as some Flesh Tearer resin pads and big chainswords
All the Dark Angels from Dark Vengeance, a pack of Company Veterans, Belial, Sammael, a Land Speeder Darkshroud, a pack of Deathwing and a pack of old-school Fallen backpacks.
About 10 Ultramarine assault terminators, 3 paint set Ultramarines, a converted Ultra Sergeant and a bunch of Ultra shoulder pads.
An Iron Hands metal shoulder pad and helmet upgrade kit, a powerfist with Sons of Medusa heraldry, and Watch Captain Artemis who's kinda bionic
The White Scars metal bike rider kit, torsos only
All the Deathwatch shoulder pads, which give me left shoulder pads for Black Templars, Red Talons, White Scars, Novamarines, Minotaurs, Silver Skulls, Flesh Tearers, Iron Hands, Blood Angels, Ultramarines, Crimson/ Imperial Fists and what seems to be a Dark Angels Legion pad (unbroken sword flanked by wings)
There's also right shoulder pads for Space Wolves, Salamanders, Raven Guard, Raptors and Howling Griffons.

I'm thinking of starting by building them up as Deathwatch squads, with whatever I can't fit into that being part of the generic marine detachment. Alternatively, I could just build them all as Chapter-specific units and cram them into one big detachment... What are your thoughts, Dakka?

Thanks Shas'o. I'm taking a break from them for a bit, both to wait for Reivers but also to work on something that doesn't involve cutting and replacing entire sections of the model

Veron, Lord of Khorne. Once a proud warrior of the Angels of Vengeance, he went rogue after the Cicatrix Maledictum tore the Imperium in two. His ancient Cataphractii armour still bears the ebon colour of his Chapter, but all icons of devotion to Chapter and Imperium have been replaced by the blasphemous rune of his new Lord. His warband particularly targets shrine worlds of the Ecclesiarchy.

Had a spare Cataphractii terminator and some time. He'll be painted mainly black and brass, with crimson shoulderpads and helm and gold Khorne icons. I'm thinking of having some kind of growth coming out of the torso, as those Wrathmonger pads don't completely cover the shoulders. I have some spare horns from the zombie dragon kit somewhere that might fill the gap. He'll have a corrupted flail in his hands, his once-proud Flail of the Unforgiven now twisted to serve a darker purpose. His other hand will probably have an axe, but I'm not yet sure

Some further work on Veron, adding additional chaos-y bitz to him. I'd planned to give him a flail to represent a corrupted version of the weapon he'd wielded as a Deathwing champion, but it's hard to give a Chaos model a flail without making it look Nurgle-y so Veron got a sword

Some work on my Honoured Brothers; this is Veteran Sergeant Alexis of the Novamarines Chapter. He will be the Sergeant for a Deathwatch kill team of all-Ultramarine/ successor Chapter marines; one of the rag-tag groups of the Honoured Brothers still fighting through the ruins of the Cadian Gate systems in the early 42nd millennium

Alexis' squad will have the support of a pair of Terminator brothers, and probably a Vanguard Veteran as well, but will mostly be comprised of standard marines. His squad will be joined by a few squads from the Unforgiven Chapters, with mixed Ravenwing, Deathwing and standard Company Marines, and a few of the Blood Angel successor Chapters, who will mostly use Terminators with some Death Company amongst their number as Deathwatch Blackshields. Stay tuned!

Following the non-wolf theme, I built these guys today. They're a pretty easy conversion, and I'm happy I can now field a squad, small though it is. I'll build some more down the track.

The sergeant is my earlier Khorne lord, with the axe swapped for a Devastator power axe. This Black Crusade force will be lead by Veron

Lassnr Thane-Seeker is one of the most trusted Wolf Guard of Greatpack Bedlafrod. He fights from a converted attack bike sidecar, wielding an ancient power sword while one of his Blood Claws drives him enthusiastically around the battlefield

Lassnr was an attempt to create some of the other armour marks in plastic, and wears almost complete Mk VI power armour.

Brought these few dudes with me on my English adventure and, since I smashed my ankle yesterday, got some painting done. Need to buy more paints, mainly to finish the bone sections, but otherwise sweet. Also picked up some Mk II heavy support guys with plasma cannons yesterday at forgeworld and they'll be going into Hod Grimmursson's company as Devastators

Except this guy, but the Devastator sergeant won't have a plasma cannon anyway

Another unit for my growing Black Crusade; a Helforged Contemptor dreadnought of the Word Bearers legion

The majority of Hod Grimmursson's Grand Company are stalwart line warriors in resilient Mk IIII armour. Such armour is incredibly heavy and hard to maintain, however, and for those packs well outside the usual press of battle other armour is available. Many wear suits of ancient Mk II Crusade armour; such warplate is little more than the more common Mk III with its additional plating removed.

This squad is all outfitted with plasma cannons, as well as being very powerful in 8th they also continue the plasma-centric feel of the Dark Angels. I'm waiting for the Space Wolf torso upgrade kit to get to me before I build the Sergeant.

Haha Shaso; I'm sure I'll get there eventually
For now, a pair of veteran Astartes, one from the Death Eagles Chapter in relic Mk VI Corvus armour and the other from the Doom Eagles Chapter in Chapter-marked Mk VII Aquila armour

These gents will be incorporated into my mixed-Chapter army before long, part of an on-foot Vanguard or Company Veterans squad

Some more work; just need to work out how to fit the dreadnought Helfrost cannon to the Contemptor arm

The only Dreadnought of the Firewolf Company, Gullinbjorn is a heavily modified and resilient chassis. It takes its name from its current inhabitant, who was known as such for his bear-like resilience and the golden mane of hair that covered his head. Gullinbjorn is one of the oldest and most lucid dreadnoughts of the Lost Companies, and served with distinction throughout the late 41st and early 42nd millenium

Finally got my Forgeworld order, which had the two Dreadfire arms for this conversion contained within. In game he counts as Bray'arth Ashmantle

I finished assembling my Porphyrion, Caestus Imperator, a little while ago

He (she?)s still got a lot of work o go; and I have a lot of projects and life-related stuff on but I'll do my best. The name's a little lazy, but it'll do for a placeholder for now
Also want to create a Scion for this one, suggestions on gender and conversion? I'm sorta tempted to 'take inspiration from' (rip off) Mag from Warframe

Anywho, have a good one

Hod Grimmursson's Grand Company are primarily stalwart warriors in impenetrable armour; a living wall behind which the less favoured masses of the Imperium may shelter. But a warrior who places his trust in walls alone will lose the land to the foe and become encircled and besieged. A number of the younger warriors of Grimmursson's Company take the fight directly to the foe, and are armed with the fastest, deadliest weapons their Jarl can provide, including unique- or at least rare- variants of common Imperial designs.

Got this Javelin secondhand; had to source crew separately and it still needs some repairs, but when it's done it'll be a Land Speeder Vengeance to accompany the MkIV Heresy-era bikes that will form the Ravenwing contingent of Grimmursson's Company.

Some fresh hell for me and some (hopefully) beautiful models for you; a Damocles Command Rhino and a Deimos Relic-Predator. The pieces on both are soooooo warped it's clearly a Tzeentchian ploy! 3 kettles to get these things to this level of rough assembly! Agh
They'll look cool when they're done though
Also have a Deimos Damocles and a Dreadclaw waiting in the wings but I can't bring myself to bend anymore resin tonight (and I have absolutely no idea how to attach hair ties to the Dreadclaw to hold it together)

So the Damocles is going into the Iron Wolves, I think; command and control suit them the best. The predator however goes to the venerable and cursed warriors of the Winterborn! Early days yet but I plan to have a squadron of these beauties before long

The Great Company of Arnbjorn Red Moon, known more commonly as the Bone Gnawers, were lost for over a century on an unnamed feral world. They lost their Iron Priests and with them the ability to repair their wargear. Although they survived and were reunited with the Companies, they still favour going into battle unarmoured.
Rules-wise, these guys will be a primarily scout-biker force, probably built from a combination of the Chaos Knights of AoS and the new Goliath gangers. I can't wait for Necromunda!

Finally got these bad boys in! All the ancient Terminator armour you could ever want! (or at least a weekend's worth). They'll be going int Grimmurssons Company

Cataphractii terminators are certainly cool, but I have terrible hobby butterfly syndrome (weirdly restricted to things covered in pelts and runes though) and Einarth Helgarsson's packs need heavy support. I'll hold off getting them a Repulsor until Forgeworld release the doors for them.

He's pretty basic right now although I have plans to fix that.... if he gets the Gatling cannon he will be named Borri Sigvallsson; if the plasma cannon he will be named and titled Tomin, Remembrancer of the Scouring. I'm going to cast some of the resin door symbols in green stuff to give him a suitably large white wolf's head on his left shoulder either way.

I've done some solid work on those 20 Cataphractii I posted earlier; 8 powerfist/bolters, 6 lightning claws, 4 chainfist/bolters and 2 sword/bolter sergeants. I'll be adding some variation later with redone justaerin and deathshroud models, cataphractii assault cannons, tyrant siege termies for cyclone launchers and some of the beautiful varagyr models as they're released; but that's for later.
For now, I'm awaiting 20 Luna Wolf pads from Pop Goes the Monkey to truly finish these first groups off pics when the shoulders get here

Here's the cataphractii assembled and based; I'm waiting on the shoulders and also just ordered 2sets of tyrant siege terminators from forgeworld for all those cyclone launchers. I'm thinking of using the more heavily-armoured tyrant models, and some large shields from pop goes the monkey, as deathwing knights
