Just got my second Vic Minis Taurox conversion kit. The previous one required reinforcing with brass rod to make it useable but this newer version (the gamer edition) is built much more ruggedly and looks like it's up to the job from the off.

Some sacrifice of fine detail for real world durability is a price I'm quite happy to pay. Still looks great and (imo) a massive improvement over the derpy tracks of the original.

The FLGS finally received the English copy of Forgebane I'd ordered, so popped in to pay and pickup that!

I wouldn't normally buy full retail for anything GW, but in the case of the sprays I couldn't order them (I guess we can't ship spray cans!), and I've not seen the Banshees or Magore's Fiends sold anywhere else (or be in stock).

From Osprey I picked up Kobolds and Cobblestones, Outremer, and I accidentally got the supplement for Dracula's America instead of the main rulebook! Woops.

The postman just dropped:

2 bottles of Vallejo Natural Steel and 1 of Silver. Combine with the 2oz dropper bottle I also got and I now have a BIG thing of lightened steel pre-mixed that takes black based washes better than the straight Natural Steel.

Also 2 baby dragons, a basilisk, and imps to give some Khornate cultists familiars/pets.

My love hate, scratch that just hateful, relationship with Spectre Miniature's shop front continues. I made an order with them last week, only for some items I wanted to come into stock today. Queue another order.

They handle stock in a really weird way, where they have a third party supply them with their products, which are then put up seemingly at random on their site. You can't buy an item until its up for sale, so have to sporadically buy things that you want and hope that the next day something that's out of stock doesn't go on sale. Or put off your order a day in case more stock comes in only to find that the other thing you want is now out of stock.

Ah, and no, they don't respond to messages querying when an item will become available.

Oh well, now to wait another week to finally finish building this damn model. Oh wait, the rocket launcher I want for it is also out of stuck. Argh!

Just been to the post office to pick up the aforementioned SoB I ordered, then popped across to my local GW where I bought a pot of Steel Legion Drab and a Zandri Dust spray. I also picked up the birthday store goodies I was waiting on, which are a canvas bag with a sign of the Inquisition on. A notebook and Chaos Star window sticker, a deck of playing cards, 4 art prints, a plastic Defence of Cadia bag and a store birthday Captain model.

Ordered Lady Olynder, Nighthaunt warscrolls and endless spells, banshees and a magewrath throne to pass the free shipping threshold on Wayland. Hopefully I get them before the end of summer!
