No, but at the same time you wouldn't go out of your way to take units that are out and out terrible either.
You don't need to be a WAAC ITC edge-lord to know that some units just suck.
I dunno, I run Maulerfiends, forgefiends, spawn and chaos Marines a lot and they're all pretty bad.

Units can still be 'bad' but people can still have fun running them. I'm sure there are players out there who absolutely have had a ball with flayed ones but for me they simply have no appeal next to wraiths and lychguard apart from being cheaper.
In an army where assault isn't a strong point though i want assault troops that are more than just warriors with an extra attack. Which after four codexes is sad really!

I've had super fun games with both silver tides and 2x-scytheguard with teleport insanity.

A 40k only preview? Should be interesting, but remember to temper your expectations and don't get caught on the hype train.
That said, I have just done a quick inventory of Necron kits in my pile of shame. Just in case

It's most likely 9th edition, officially being unveiled, right? Maybe tease those primaris vehicles, if the leaks were legit. And hopefully some good Necron reveals

There's a thread for discussing the preview, assuming the mods let it stay up, so that the Silent King discussion can remain centered on the big guy.

I literally just finished mine before any of the new necron hype began luckily. Just a coincedence as the Necrons were the army I new I could just blast through fastest and have them done. So of course I should have learned by now that when the final I's have been dotted and T's crossed that all new crap comes in and resets you

I'd rather see new rules for existing necron units that just new units.
Given new rules won't sell new models I'm pretty sure gw will go the exact opposite route.
It's possible there could be some necron civil wars coming tho, as it looks like Imhotech will oppose the silent king as he views him as unworthy to continue being the necron high lord.
Hmmm, I wonder who Imhotekh would see as worthy to be the supreme necron ruler. Anrakyr, perhaps? He's impartial, had aided the necron race as a whole for a long time and is quite skillful. Yes, I'm sure the storm lord will advocate the traveller as a replacement for the silent king...

I for one would like to see the Severed and Technomandrites fleshed out.
I thought they were a lot more interesting than Dynasty crons, going by just the small bit of text they were allocated in the codices. Automatically Appended Next Post:
Watch it just be yet another Primaris Lieutenant model.
