Vigo. Spain.

I hope this puts to rest that Primaris aren't gothic enough.

The captain has a damm skeleton on his shield and that guy with the two handed sword, yezz.

I mean is cool but is like they are trying to compensate or something.

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

My latest project has been Reserve companies and 10th Co/Vanguard.

2-5 battleline companies do have Close Support units, currently reivers and Inceptors.
7th are all Tacs/Intercessors, and 8th Close Support.

So these guys can be from 2-8 (if CC Intercessors are still considered Intercessors)

I'm excited bc I can add the bikes and CC Intercessors as 8th Company, and not break my army theme.

It'd be great if, for one of the special holiday/event models, GW released an Imperial war videographer permanently embedded in the Ultramarines chapter.

Turns out the only reason they show up so much more often is that their videographer happens to have a 2++ save...

They literally revealed almost nothing in the stream, but I do appreciate the pre-FAQ for 9th ed release. This does explain why there was no Spring FAQ and they did say that this was engineered into the Psychic Awakening rules for compatibility into the new Ed.

I like how they are putting out more free core rules and allowing you to keep your books.

"More CP," does anyone actually like CP or the ridiculous, cheesy strategems like shooting twice?

Max shots against hordes. Okay so worse than blast templates were. How is this going to be balanced? This is easily the biggest concern I have.

Some dude on TG is claiming overwatch is getting nixed.

Thank Empra for points cost adjustments being promised and they are legitimately talking about playtesting, but I don't understand their apparent fascination with tanks supposedly getting bogged down by grots. Does this happen?

Not enough to work with on this reveal. I'm trying to comb through a two hour stream for tidbits of information and not finding very much. Does anyone have a summary? Been looking through Reddit and not finding anything of substance.

Fang, son of Great Fang, the traitor we seek, The laws of the brethren say this: That only the king sees the crown of the gods, And he, the usurper, must die.

biggest shocker for me is how much billing sisters are getting alongside marines in the trailer, and that wore off when I recalled IG were in the trailer literally to get shot, and they just invested in a sisters line redesign.

silly necron things, check. big thingy for the silent king when i still don't think he should be on the field, delegating that to his honor guard instead, check.

9th friggin edition right as im debating putting my foot back into the game, thus shaking up the rules yet again and putting that on ice for however long... CHECK.

..the rules seemingly already readjusting what it may mean to play the army i was considering (Tempestus) despite barely having any information provided because of how they dripfeed the data... CHECK!

But hey, new necron warriors! (that price will be lovely, im sure) and a primaris with a chainsword!

didn't know we needed a new edition to give melee marines primaris....

The brightside is that this new edition looks like it's more of an 8.5 than a full new edition. It looks to mostly be cleaning up of 8th, rather than trying to really shake a lot up.

I more meant in the context of *everything in this trailer will have models*.

To which I guess you could say "just convert some Cadians though" - but that's not quite the same.

Yes? That 6++ save called Shield of Faith was always literally praying the wounds away. It wasn't a function of the armor, a non-existent forcefield or the woman's toughness. It's divine intervention, and has been since.. 2000? 1990s? (though obviously it was one of the Acts of Faith back then)

So if flyers are going to be a thing then more factions need planes or flying beasties since there will be costs for souping. Sisters I am looking at your distinct lack of a flyer. I guess Mechanicus is getting theirs with their weird ornithopter thing. Hopefully Pariah gives Sisters that, but I doubt it and as is typical Sisters are the last codex for a new edition. Still I am hopeful for the new edition.

Other factions, more slots, different chapter/regiment.

Before question was why not soup. Now there's reason to play mono. Even giving compensation staying say same ork klan which so far has been obvious choise

Guessing here.

If you start with a fixed CP based off of game/point size, it makes the force org chart more relevant, even for mono-faction armies.

Now, if you want to spam FA slots, you can just carve 3 and a HQ off of your basic battalion, and get rewarded for making a skew list.

If you need to pay, rather then get CP for additional detachments, it rewards a troop heavy TAC list, cored around the battalion. You can have a few of the other slots for “free” but can’t spam them hard core.

Obviously, this is just a guess based on limited info.

Not every faction is supposed to have everything. Issues began when you could take best parts of factions and ignore drawbacks all for free. Now at least you can still minmax best of factions but there's price to pay.

There are some STRONG age of sigmar vibes off those primaris. The standard looks a lot like something stormcast would use, the new chaplain's crosius looks a bit like sigmar's twin tailed comet, the hour glass is something that wouldn't look out of place amongst SE (although Night haunts have the monopoly on timepieces) and even the leg coming out of the robe evokes strong stormcast vibes (although primaris have done that pose before).

I mean, they don't look bad. But even so
