I know that Razor Flails roll better but I care for Hydras for the aesthetic and I love rolling for random attacks Those occasions when you get 12 additional attacks will always make you feel like a hero Sliscus is riding with the 8 man Kabalites. Other than that there's not much to say. Let me know what you think.

Dump the Flickerfields and Nightm Shields - they are not worth the points, considering a stiff breeze can knock a Raider/Ravager out of the sky.
This is what I use and it's Kung Fu has proven to be strong:
Duke Sliscus = 150
Haemonculus = 65
Liquifier Gun, Venom Blade.
8 Trueborn = 206
6 Shard Carbine, 2 Splinter Cannon.
Raider.
10 Wracks = 200
2 Liquifier Guns, Acothyst - Agoniser.
Raider.
10 Wracks = 200
2 Liquifier Guns, Acothyst - Agoniser.
Raider.
10 Wyches = 200
2 Shardnet and Impaler, Hekatrix - Power Weapon.
Raider.
10 Warriors = 160
Splinter Cannon.
Raider.
Ravager = 105
Ravager = 105
Ravager = 105
I tried it with two Darklight Ravagers and a one Disintegrator Ravager and it worked really well against Imperial Guard and held it's own against a BA Mech Army.

They wychs don't need flickers though, they should be moving flat out until you have delivered your cargo. After that if they are being shot at either you are already lost or your opponent is ignoring more pressing targets. Either way the flicker won't change anything.
On the other hand I also like flickerfields on ravagers anyways.
If you drop nightshields on your ravagers, flickers on your wych's raiders, you can get nightshields on your warriors raider (since its the only raider you want to keep going close) and give the wychs haywire grenades. I think that would help a bunch. Then again your warriors raider will be a 90 point paper plane, which is likely a weakness. Overall I'm not sold on the strategy, but that's probably a better way to do it.

You need 10 men in the slicus squad to have a cannon. Even forgetting that, why not have a 9th man in there to take more full advantage of the splinter racks?

No way, flickers are worth it. 10 points you get a 1/3 chance to not die? If you move flat out now with new FAQ from GW you lose you squad if it crashes so way better to move 12 and fire a lance. Esp when you can get out, run and assault farther then the 6 extra inches you'd get from flat out and not be able to do anything! Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and trueborne can take 2 cannons regardless of squad size... 5 truborne with 2 cannons 3 carbines, mounted in a venom with 2 cannons anyone? 165 pts for 29 splinter shots at 18" or 20 at 36"

I second that...
A 2/6 chance of saving isn't worth the points. Not in 40k, not in any game.

If it was 30pts I would agree with you, but they cost 10pts. Ten points for your ravagers to die 1/3rd of the time less is quite good.

I mean, what's the point in winning if you allow people that don't take the game seriously to live? |

I was playing against my buddies DE list yesterday with BA and he saved his Ravagers 3 times in two rounds with flickers. It kept his machine moving. I'd say it's hit or miss. I like em so far. They haven't done me any wrong For ten points its not a bad trade off imo. "hardly believable" You guys have seen my bat reps. They work, some of the time

Flickerfields are the best 10 points spent on any unit in DE. The sheer amount of times it has made my friend roll his eyes after auto-penning with a broadside is ridiculous.

10pts = win the game 1/36 times, yeah I'll pay that 3 times for a 1/12 increased odds of winning.

Here's a quick naked list I put together. It's not bad looking. A little spammy, but oh well. I was surprised by the amount I can cram onto the field for 16 KP.
HQ: 60
Haemonculus, Liquifier (60)
TROOPS: 1121
Kabalite Warriors x9, Raider (141)
Kabalite Warriors x10, Blaster, Sybarite, Raider (175)
Kabalite Warriors x10, Blaster, Sybarite, Raider (175)
Wyches x10, Hydra Gauntlets x2, Hekatrix, Agonizer, Raider (210)
Wyches x10, Hydra Gauntlets x2, Hekatrix, Agonizer, Raider (210)
Wyches x10, Hydra Gauntlets x2, Hekatrix, Agonizer, Raider (210)
HEAVY: 315
Ravager (105)
Ravager (105)
Ravager (105)
TOTAL: 1496
I suppose that massed target saturation can work just as well as Flickers. . .maybe. I might give it a try and find out how much faster I lose vehicles

regular warriors, unless it's a 20-man with 2 splinter cannons, are a waste of the duke's special ability. You should run them like Puscifer says; shardcarbine trueborn that wound on 3+ are naaaaasty. a 9-man with carbines (I'm not sure the cannons are worth it since you're going to be within 18" and moving anyway) is doing a hilarious 12 wounds to anything in the game. That'll kill any greater daemon but a great unclean one, an avatar, a wraithlord, a winged hive tyrant, a carnifex, the list goes on. It'll gut most MEQ units (and if you're lucky, you can kill off a PF sarge or special/heavy weapon with so many forced armour saves; I've done it many times), and can even do a number on light infantry if you can catch them without 4+ cover. If you're willing to risk hopping out, they've got a very serious threat range of 32", though the 24" scoot n' shoot is often plenty.

If the odds would be 51% or higher, then I would consider them.

Would you also like a mechanical arm in your bathroom to wipe your arse? Oh wait its 40 pts that'd be ridiculous. 10 pts for a 5++ (thats right not a cover save but an invul one) save is amazing and they save guess what? 1/3 of the time. So when I use 3 ravagers and they pop some boxcars and my opponent gets mad and shoots them all, out of 3 ravagers guess how many I still have? You guessed it I have one left all because I rolled a 5 Your vehicles are glass, and since no other wargear is even close to worth its points except maaaaaybe torment launchers It's pretty much a no brainer to at least try and save it. Of course this is all just IMO

I think that is wrong, the FAQ says "turn" and according to the brb a "turn" is a player turn and game turns are explicitly called "game turn", so, that ruling only really matters if you somehow get shot or wrecked in some other way on YOUR turn, not the subsequent player turn.
