I'm thinking of getting some Reeves for my army, I usually play with Baldur and friends in 35pt games. So this means lots of forests and constructs.

I was thinking with the amount of (extra)terrain that I could use a unit of Reeves. That and they look cool

I'm asking here because I've mixed reviews of the unit and I'm not sure are they worth it.

Overall the word that most describes Reeves is meh. DEF and ARM 13 combined with MAT and RAT 5 are pretty mediocre stats and their abilities are decent, but really fail to make up for it. Also their points are a 6-10, which is a lot for the degree of mediocrity they wallow in. Could you find a way to get use out of the unit? Like most things in WM, if you really want to, you can probably get them to work, but there are much better units out there that'll give you more bang for your buck.

Thats what I've been hearing alot Mastershake, so I guess I'll just use the points to buy druids and a LoTF

If you really like the idea of reaves pick up a minions book and read up on Nyss Hunters (I think, posting from work so i don't have the book/deck on me).

Same amount of points, same amount of models higher def lower arm, other than that exactly the same.
Oh and they have weapon master on their swords for some reason... guess if they HAVE to use em they should probably do it well

Except for the lack of snap fire, UA, supporting solos, and access to in faction buffs, of course.

Really, with support from War Wolves and Reeve Hunters, they're a solid choice in lists with Baldur and Cassius, and even the Storm Lord with his control abilities to provide them with more opportunities to shoot things. While their RAT is a bit low, Hunter and a good amount of terrain (in order to allow them the aiming bonus more often) make up for it rather nicely. With an effective RAT 7 and ignoring many common defense bonuses, they have few problems making their Snap Fire attacks.

So if I make a list to accommodate them they're quire solid. I guess they aren't as plug and play as wolves of orboros, but I like the way they work with Baldur's rapid growth spell.

One question I want an answer to is whats the bast way to run them, Full sized or normal and with or without UA
