Chances are box contents will be five body sprues with enough parts for five models and three weapon sprues along with enough sprues for the bases.

All they need is a Croc in-tow spouting fire and they are set.

Allot of their tanks are out for re-tooling at the moment, looking forward to them coming back online as well.

Not really a fan. The rifles on some of them look like toys. I'm also not too keen on the facial expressions, or the heads in general. They look slightly too large for the bodies.

I would agree that the faces/heads don't look the best there, but I don't think that the painting is doing them any favours.

I know the PBI can get a bit narked but I never imagined them going into a purple rage!

I actually thought that they were zombies.

I think the Germans, if the face sculps are similar, would actually look exactly like Nazi Zombies.

Which is either horrible, or awesome, depending on what you're building for.

The painted plastic Germans examples also suffer from poorly painted faces:

Where ever the Emperor needs his eyes

The Enfields on the Tommies look a little small, as do their Thompsons. The Bren Gun looks okay, but the Sten, well something seems off about it. Most everything else looks ok, not counting the heads but that seems to be a paint job issue.

The Krauts seem to suffer from "Germans only wore Grey" syndrome and bad face paint jobs. Their weapons look better than the British ones.

Hmm now that you mention it the guns do look a little funny

Luckily warlord does have germans (mainly SS and fallschirmjager) painted in other colors than german grey

Hmm their other stuff looks fine for the most part, particularly the German Weapons compared to the Allied.

One thing you may notice is the Magazine on the Enfield is flush with the hands on the foregrips, it wouldn't be in real life as it is a Ten Round box. Even my Mosin-Nagant's five round box sticks out farther than the top of my hand on the foregrip.

The look pretty cool to me. Their weapons probably only seem small because we are used to heroic scale weapons in 40K

Hmm imo they still look kinda small compared to their german weapons and iirc german ww2 rifles/etc werent all that bigger than british equipment

The metal weapons look bigger too (maybe its just me though)

The weapons on the metals are likely bigger because they are metal.

You cannot make too thin a part with metals dependably.

I think it is a scale thing. Look at most 20mm plastics.

The weapons are tiny. But they are to scale, which looks wrong to our GW-adjusted eyes.

Exactly that. GW's bodies are also over-size making their heads look smaller. Once you are used to looking at GW's distorted figures, it makes realistic figures look strange by comparison.

Except Space Marines, whose heads tend to look realistically small because they are so tall.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

No the weapons look small because I've compared them to weapons I own and people I know own. The weapon scale is off.

Of course the same is somewhat true for a Marine's Bolter, its too large.

While I like the Bolt Action Plastics, I find their weapon sprues to be fiddly to the point of uselessness. Even alongside other truescale 28mm models in my collection, their weapons are way too small.

I would get these models if I could find a cheapish source of better weapons to swap in, but as it stands, it's actually cheaper for me to buy a box of WWII metal figures from Crusader or the like.

Hmm kinda true actually. Warlord Bolt Action plastics are a lot higher priced than other plastic lines. Maybe production costs are too high?

Except for the Thompsons, the weapons look fine to me...

And those MP40s are too big if anything
