In the going to ground rules section it says

"If the unit has to fall back, it will return to normal immdediately"

Doesnt that mean if it has to fall back, it automatically comes back, and can shoot/move/assault in my next turn?

Yes this is a jerk thing to bring up to your opponent and a bit WAAC but im a just curious as to how it should be interpreted through RAW

Thanks

Arguably yes, as a unit can fire while falling back, and the rule say that the status of 'falling back' overules the status of 'gone to ground' in this scenario, so yes, the models can fire, counting as moving.

It's not a "jerk thing", it's how the game works.

If you go to ground and he still kills enough of you to force a leadership test which you fail and so fall back then you get to shoot in your turn.

Yes, RAW if you are forced to move after GTG you are free to act normal on your turn.

In the context of the Going To Ground rules, 'return to normal' is referring to the GtG status.

A unit forced to fall back after it has GtG returns to normal. That doesn't mean that it doesn't still count as falling back... it simply means that it no longer counts as having Gone To Ground.

You can quite possibly regroup, in which case you follow the BRB rules for regrouping after falling back.

Only army to "Auto" pass its regroup test are the space marines, but even they must follow the rest of the falling back test rules, such as an enemy model with-in 6" means you can't test and thus automatically fail and continue falling back, etc. etc.
