Hey all

Feel free to show off all your space marine armies here, whether they're Ultramarines, Blood angels, Dark angels, black templars, blood ravens, raven guard, or your own chapter! they can be converted, or just plain badass!

Heres some of mine, I'll try get more pics tomorrow, in a better place too. I play ultramarines, and am currently just accumulating lots of marines to display both here and on my blog.

Uh, not much green in that green tide, that's the GREY Tide? Those models aren't worthy to assault yours! (Good perspective action shot though).

Those are some awesome models Augustus. Love the shoulder pads. and cosmic pixie, the librarian head is from the black templar upgrade sprue. There a slightly different looking one on the blood angels one.

I'm going to try get a good photography area [problem is i'm not too good a photography, but i'll do my best] and i'll start snapping pics of my finished models!

Very nice White Scars Augustus. You don't see many of them. I especially love the mounted plasma guns - i'll have to keep that in mind for my bikers!

@ Augustus: Wow - really, really nicely-executed White Scars! The teaser marine's also great - love the subtle effects on the power sword.

@lipsdapips: Nice work - especially like the power axe on the guy in your Combat Squad!

Actually I cut components from a Sammael apart with a jewler's saw, then I made sculpted additions with as individual unique pieces, then I made a mold of those as 'ad on conversion piece kits' to turn a regular attack bike model into a flying jetbike instead!

The army is bigger than what is portrayed here as well, we made 15 of those attack bikes for our Adepticon Team Tourney Army 2 years ago!

I usually try and make unique conversions to define an army, but still have them fit within the bounds of the world, and work as gamepieces as well.

That's why I made those flying jetbikes and also why I like conversions like Easytigers:




These kind of concepts broaden the world in general and are so fun to see! I think they can make a common army, like space marines, stand out amongst so much repition, of course do to their popularity!

These ideas lead me to construct closed top turreted Land Speeders for my Iron Lions army:

Angle Shots:





Simple consistent paint jobs like these and converted models (while not as nice as easy tigers fine pieces) can really make an army stand out, and still be WYSIWYG for tourney play, and generally good sports and functionality etc.

Most of all your last series of images lipsdapips, I like that banner! Cool.

Have you ever tried photographing subjects in a light tent? It's really wonderful, its a trick I learned from a friend, and saw put in place by a guy nicknamed Dirty Steve (a nice fun skilled guy who used to photo document GT events for GW.)

Man, I am reluctant to post any of my poor shots of my stuff following Augustus. That said, probably better poor shots than good; as good photography would only make my inferior skills more obvious.

Still, I like my guys, so here's a shot from Baltimore a couple of years ago:

Well done everyone, some great work getting shown. i just need to get hold of a decent camera and i will be able to put some pictures up of my BA

This just arrived in the mail today.
8x wolfpack sprues, 4x Rhinos (and the DA Ravenwing sprue for some reason)

And the Gargantuan package it came in (with a sprue on top to show size. It was a good 5 inches tall as well)


I'll update again when everything is built (and my resin Razorback lasplas turrets arrive)
