See I would disagree with you on that, because I think the boobs aren't over perportioned like most models, and the rest of the body is actually rather natural. I do agree that I don't like the tail. I have decided that when I have some doe to burn I will pick that one up.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

I'll be honest, I've seen a number of threads about various miniatures and dioramas where there are female miniatures, and...wait for it, they have breasts.
The focal point for the discussion soon centres on the breasts.
C'mon guys, its getting boring. The way people go on, its almost as if women don't have large breats...heres a news flash, some women do have large breats...its not offensive, its what you as an individual make of it. No one comments on male miniatures with overly large biceps, or thigh muscles, or unrealistic six packs.....
With respect, I wish individuals would stop projecting their own childish insecurities and belittling the awesome sculpted products we can enjoy or not, your choice!

@Delephont: I agree and like I said really these perportions seem natural to me. We all have seen models way outof perportion but when I look at a model and ask myself "is this in good taste, or a little on the extreme" I just compare it to my wife. It's an odd way but hey it works for me.

It's a sad indication of the state of the miniature industry's approach to modelling women when people can look at that model (especially the profile shot) and think that she does not have especially large breasts. She's probably near the upper end for most women's natural proportions (especially given her tiny waist) and yet by comparison to other minis she's rather small.
I don't think she's particularly lewd though. She's silly, but in this case I'll accept it (even applaud it) because everything else about her is equally silly. Overall, another fantastic model. Studio McVey has done it again!

Duhh, in Asia perhaps...
On this mini each boob is about the same size as her closed fist. In my book this would equal a perfectly normal cupsize.
Also - when doing miniatures, proportions must be exaggerated.
This whole discussion is silly.
The mini is, however, not.
Dino could make a great mount for Malus Darkblade - and the girl used as an Adeptus Arbites Regulator.
Nice.

Re Breasts
It pops up time and time again because mini sculptors seem to think that all gamers are adolescent males and and get turned on by magically enhanced mammaries.
Ditto anima artists.
which generates feedback into gaming.
The riders proportions are not realistic (her legs are too long) but the distortions are okay to my aesthetic tastes.
Overall I like the model spines and all.

Why is it people always object to non-saggy boobies?? They are too firm? Read a comic, bewbs in stylized fantasy/sci-fi renderings are always pretty perky and full... It doesn't need to derail every thread with a chick mini in it.

I think though like has been said over and over that too many people are judging the boobs instead of the overall model. I have several of Studio Mcveys models, and I love them. I also have his sedition wars line in route for me to do those too. I think we need to concentrate away from this area and more into the model itself. His models are dreams for all painters as the quality is high, and the outcome is worthwhile. I think we should concentrate more on that then on body parts of some models. I have the Warlord Games models of naked dude, and I don't concentrate on that fact (granted historicals are somehwat different). I am just saying lets try to rear this back on topic ok.

A nice sculpt, but her legs seem a bit too long.

I love this thing!
I don't see why people are getting worked up about her boobs, they really aren't big and can hardly be considered the focal point of the piece aside from being a central part of the mini and a bit of cleavage. Sure are perky, though. Oddly enough, you don't see this kind of bothersome fuss on Soda Pop posts despite the obvious liberties to the female form they take.
I like the long legs, too. It's a pretty common art style to overextend the legs; sometimes "truescale" legs look a little short or make the torso look stockier than it is. Honestly, her proportions remind me of old school Disney. Remember how skinny Jasmine was?

Because, you know, women are frail, defenseless creatures and need a man to stick up for them on issues like this. Not only that, but it also scores you bonus points because if women think you're nice and sensitive and stick up for them when they're being exploited (even if they aren't really), then they'll have sex with you!
They won't, but they could. You know, when the guys they're really hot for dump them. Maybe. If they're drunk.
In other words: it's bs. I bet you anything most guys don't even care and just want to look good in front of their girlfriends (or hope to attract one for being so noble). I bet you anything (again, I guess) most chicks probably don't give a gak about stuff like this unless it's just way over the top, and even then they probably wouldn't because they aren't stupid hypocrites and realize they love oversexualized men with huge muscles and packages just as much as we like oversexualized women.

Feeling the need to tell us something Sid?
What's the problem with complaining? Some people don't like overly-muscled miniatures, some don't like bizarre stuff like the "Baby Daemon", others think that not all female miniatures need to have chainmail bikinis or big boobs to (further?) appeal to a miniature collector.
Not that it hits me anyway, but this is a miniature forum which encourages discussion. About miniatures.
And I for one like the eye candy

Well there is perky and there is unnatural balloon, nay blimp bubbies!
The issue for me is not size or sagging but the fact that female torsos in general are nearly always a pastische of women based on an expectation of what male teenagers desire.
I agree with Kirby about Ruby, though I would have to question why is it also necessary for women in fantasy to only ever wear nothing more than a handkerchief to support their ample bosoms?

Gordito was my first thought too. I didn't even notice her boobies until I read all the rage. Compared to most miniatures its not a big deal. Compared to television, film, and advertising it's not a big deal.
