I like what a huge risk it is for GW. It is utterly grotesque (one of the few terror causing models worthy of the rule!) and doesn't fit into any recognised fantasy archetype (e.g. dragon, giant, daemon, dinosaur).

All in all, a nicely unique creation both in terms of fluff and sculpt

its about as close to a frankenstien monster as you can get!

First impression is that it is on the same quality level as the other existing non-GW models by Maelstrom and Miss Painting. All are nice alternative versions for the same unit. Good to see that the GW HPA is a bit modular, as seen in the upper arms (Skryre alternative arms).

I would like to see it without a bunch of stuff in the background. I feel like I cant really get a good look.

Appreciate the whole The Thing deal it has going on, sure I'll like it more with better shots. Though I'm not remotely blown away and am also quite content with my own converted HPA

Do we know the price on this kit? Shot in the dark: $60-65?

It's 39 Euro, about the same price as the High Elf Dragon kit which is 49.50$.

The main head just isn't so... fitting the bill for me.

Same here. Looks likes Privateer Press Hordes Everblight fraction to me. Let's hope there is an alternative for that part as well.

Yes, for your basic HPA, take one Blindwyrm complete with skull-like head and attach Rat Ogre parts/Clan Skyre bits and pieces as desired. Warpstone Spikes optional

I like the head, its kinda like the Tremors beastie...just paint it glossy black, and it would look more insectlike rather than skull like and BAM! you are gtg!

Still, great sculpt I suppose, I'd have to see what it looks like by itself though.

I'm not a fan of it. It seems too much like a blob. Seems a bit uninspired to me, sorta like the sculpter didn't really know where he wanted to go with it. I don't like the pose either. Reminds of of the poses of the old dragons before the cool flying on a rock base ones we have now.

Very disappointing considering how big of a center piece it would be in an army.

It's OK, with lots of potential for conversions to make it more funky...

Heh, true enough. Guess I expected something different. I'm crossing my fingers for a giant rat head alternate though.

Why would there be a giant rat head? It's a hugemongous wyrm that has had pieces of Rat Ogre grafted to it. Sorta describes those pictures fairly well, to me at least.

It's a matter of taste streamdragon, GW (or anyone else for that matter) can't please everyone.
