Does anyone know any rumors or anything if the Empire and Warriors of Chaos army books are getting updated with 8th edition? In other words, is it worth buying the current ones?

From what I understand both books are relatively recent and competitive, i'd say it's a safe bet to buy either/or now. Wont be an update for a while unless someones heard something I havnt.

No new army book release in sight for those, not within 12 months. There are several 6th edition army books that need updates more urgent. Also have a look at thhe 8th edition FAQ for each army.

Yea it impossible to play any army nowadays without the FAQ.
