yeah,
So today I played around and made the first 10 hellions using only female bodies from the hellion and wych kits.
I like the results.
I've decided to make this an all female army.

I've ordered some female bit from eBay. but I'm going to need Lots More!!!
I'm also interested in female Kabalite Warrior torsos to make trueborn.

++

DE players!
I'd like to trade my male wych/warrior/hellion bits for your female bodies and heads.
I'll make all trades work in your favour offering extra bits and Special weapons
or
I'll supply 2 male torsos for every female torso traded - plus the extra legs/arms needed to complete the extra model!

I'm also interested in female Kabalite Warrior torsos to make trueborn.

++Please PM me to set up a trade.++

Great idea! This is one unique army. Hope you get the bits you need. Thought about converting lilith to a Hellion?

I would give you some female torsos but I glued them all together yesterday. Oops!

(Lilith on a helion would be cool, I just don't know how you would do it)

Already working on it, she'll be my counts as Baron Sathonyx... Baroness SkyBitch
Commander Cain wrote:(Lilith on a helion would be cool, I just don't know how you would do it)
I removed her fancy base and She kinda has a pose that mirrors Baron Sathonyx's artwork... pictures to follow once I've cut her up a bit and given her a HellGlaive.

At the moment I'm debating colour schemes...
  • Girly Pink is a easy/funny choice.

  • I'm started to think of batman comic book colours (because the boards look like the bat symbol).
  • batman grey&blue/black with yellow spot colour -> Link
  • HarleyQuinn red and black quarters -> Link
  • PoisonIvy .. pale greens and red hair -> Link... (green goblin comparisons ?

  • What do you think? just paint them black?

Don't paint them black, there are enough black based Dark
Eldar armies around as everyone is trying to copy the studio paint job.

Of the 3 choices I like Poison ivy colors best, but I'm not sure how that would look with purple/black skin.

What about a nice rich lavender with hot pink and red highlights? Just don't cover up the beautiful models with black.

I think it doesn't look good if the leathers aren't painted black i tried it with some wyches and it didnt work out. Paint the leathers black and then pick an outlandish colour for the Skyboard, armour, skin and weaponry. Unfortunately i also hate the mixed gender squads (WHY THE HECK DOES THE WYCH KIT HAVE MALE TORSOS?!! ARGH..) so i can't help you out. Tell you what gw should do, they should release a 'gender reassignment' kit to go with the eldar kits, all that would be in it would be enough chest pieces to make a unit unisex e.g. 4 male and 6 female for kabalite warriors.

I'd quite like to face this army at some point in the next five years or so - so I'm voting AGAINST the Harley Quinn quartered scheme.

Some other batman characters that you could go for are :

Spolier, which gives you the option of either a purple scheme, or the Robin colour scheme from when she took over that role for a while.

    Huntress is a blue.purple scheme

Or even better, there's The Royal Flush gang (black and white scheme with red contrasts) would be good as they flew around on giant cards in the Batman Beyond series

Whichever you go for, it'll look rather scary coming across the board...

    Glad to be of service.

I would make the purple a mid tone, something like the second purple on this chart. Go too dark and it may not have quite the same impact.

Looking forward to seeing them painted

If you go with purple don't be afraid of going to almost pink with the highlights. I have learned this as I have painted my Skorne to purple scheme, which is pretty close to the color on Spolier.

    yeah,
I think pure pink highlights will work like the comic book pictures of spolier. thanks for the tip.
Not much hobby done this week, works been pretty hectic :(

I recieved a bitz trade in the post today + 15 female bodies from LilLoser

I need to get ideas for a female Haemonculous convertion... or counts as a Haemonculous.

    yeah,
Ok sorry for the lack of updates... other than the occasional game with ArbitorIan I've been having a bit of a mini break from Warhammer.

but I have done some behind the scenes bits trades with Wiper and Perkustin Thanx Guys!

    Ok actual update!
So after a games room tidy up I started to get back into this.
I want 12 blasters for my dark eldar true born... I'm not willing to buy 12 boxes of warriors to get them (£180!). GW doesn't have a bits service, So I have little choice but to cast some up. Please don't fill this thread or my PM box with IP law or anti-casting hate! I'm aware that what I'm doing is wrong...

I'm using a silicone and resin I've never used before so I hope this works out!
from UK supply company Sylmasta Ltd.
    Sika G27 Polyurethane Casting Resin
Grade 380 Rubber for Polyurethane Resins 1kg

The Lego was built up to two bricks deep. I made the clay soft and warm rubbing it in my hands. I pushed the blaster (with all it's sprue attached) into the clay and used a clay shaper to pinch the clay tidy against the gun. I then made the lego four bricks deep...

First pouring of Silicone onto the blaster and clay. The bricks are tight enough that the silicone doesn't leak through the gaps.

this Silicone takes 24hrs to cure so hopefully more updates tomorrow!

no pooo poo on your idea but looking at that unless you have some vacuum chamber think its going to be very card to get all those little bits on the gun cast , ( all this little bits the sprout off ) the air will be locked in the mold and not get out . unless you so a silly amount of vent lines .

im sure some people do bits on ebay might be worth a peep . But good luck looking good so far

I'm inclined to agree. One thing you can try that I've had some success with in getting rid of bubbles in cases like this is to hold one end of the mold together and pour the resin directly into the bit's cavity. You'll likely overfill it (which gets messy ), but that's a good thing, as there's so much resin in there that as you push the rest of the mold together, there's little room left for air to get in your casts. It takes some trial and error, so YMMV.

    yeah,

the plan is to make the mold. then turn it on it's side/end and cut in a pour channel like this.

    I think this should work...
