I'm strongly considering to buy this. Its between this and another box of kabalite warriors. What is your opinion on model quality, parts quality and everything? Is it worth it?
Other than that, lovely posing and great job on the marine.

its a nightmare to build! lol! 160 parts! it took me about 5 hours to assemble! the hardest part of the kit is its greatest attribute tho, its so damn poseable you can do anything with it! Wich makes it a nightmare for positioning as you really need to set out with an exact idea in your head. its really fiddly too as each leg has a seperate claw at the base. Its major annoyance for me was thats its made from resin so super fragile and needs superglue to bond. i used a whole bottle of Rapid cure on the thing as without it i would have gone mental with all the legs shifting as the glue set. The mini itself is an absolute beast tho! looks amazing but since i dont play necrons and it was a hard kit i dont think i'll be buying another one to repeat the nightmare with lol ^_^

It looks like a fantastic model, even if its a pain to build. I also suspect those rules may prove a tad OP in play...

Ill agree it might be a bit OP. Maybe an indication of what the necrons might be like when the new codex comes out.

It is a nice model, the base you have made up is cool. I like the marine trying to hold off the claw/leg in his chest. I have considered getting one of these, would it have been possible to pose the front half of it lifted bolt upright? Just one of a few idea's i have for it look forward to seeing paint

Yeah i imagine with a slight bit of trimming it would easily stand with the front upright, just bear in mind tho that all the weight would then be supported on only a few legs and they are quite fragile "bendy" resin legs lol ^_^

Ive seen pics of them posed with the front sections raised...Id imagine its just a matter of balance. I think one person who was doing it drilled all the sections and ran a flexible wire through them for extra support.

The flexible wire sounds like a really good idea and could allow for on-the-fly repositioning. Amazing Tomb Stalker, the model is really cool.

Love the Space Marine lost amidst the legs, really gives you a sense of scale and power of the thing. However, I think it might be more epic if his bolter is pointed at the Tomb Stalker rather than straight up, as he determinedly tries to get a last couple of futile shots off as it digs its claw into his throat. Alternatively, to the side as the Space Marine concentrates on keeping the claw from penetrating, the bolter straight up just looks a little odd to me for some reason.

It looks like it is running in circles just so it can keep stomping on that poor Space Marine! XD

Lovely work, btw. I would never have the patience to put that beast together.

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.

LOL, very funny!

Looks great, loving the eye glow. From a converter's point of view, I've been considering getting one to use the segments for making Tomb Spyders. Any way to get a side-by-side pic for size comparison? I'm figuring 2-3 segments for the body of each spyder.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Sadly i dont have any Spyders for a comparison but i think one would be about 2 segments long. On saying that i would strongly reccomend against converting this awesome kit into tomb spyders simply cos its too good for that. I'd wait till later this year and see what they do with the Necron models with the codex release. The spyders would be top of my list for a rework, compared to this they look like blocky metal droids lol ^_^

Ans that is the whole reason that I'd use this model as the basis for a few conversions. The leg and claw detail are much finer and closer to the pics of the spyder in the necron codex, more spindly legs and longer claws, something difficult to do with metal. Additionally, the meta spyder models are a monster to keep together - the slightest bump and those legs pop off - not to mention that there's almost nothing to pin!

Ideally, I'd get two - one to use as is and one to make spyders. I'd like the idea of a necron MC army with 3-6 spyders, a c'tan, and a stalker.
