Hey all!

I was just wondering if anyone had a tutorial for painting Dark Angels Deathwing Terminators. (Specifically I'm doing a Fallen Angels version) I have a pretty good handle on painting Green Dark Angels but whenever I try to paint like a base version of the beige-like terminator/cloaked versions I fail miserably. What's a good base coat (not primer) that mimics the Deathwing colour base? I have access to Reaper, Citadel, PP, etc.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

When I was painting something close to that beige I did the following:

Black Undercoat (this was mostly because the other half of my quarter scheme was black, starting with white would really change everything)
Scorched brown basecoat.
Bleached Bone/Snakebite Leather to pick out all the armour plates, leaving Scorched Brown as the darkest shade between panel lines etc. You should be able to get a nice solid colour in 3-4 thin coats here.
Highlight with additional Bleached Bone and Skull White for the last few highlights.

If I was starting with a White Undercoat I'd probably do a dark brown wash or two directly over the undercoat and then start from the Bleached Bone/ Snakebite Leather stage.

Deathwing tend to vary from near white bone to a warmer, yellowed bone colour, so the Bleached Bone/Snakebite leather ratio is up to you.

Violence is not the answer, but it's always a good guess.
