I was looking at getting the Hot Lead DvD but heard if you already paint, know how to do basic medals, drybrush, shade etc then to avoid this.

My google fu skills found that if you want a good advanced DvD, then to pick up the DvD "Miniature Painting whit Jeremie Bonamant Teboul"

I searched at his own site, amazon, thewarstore.com, etc and can't find it.

Anyone know where I can get it, or know of a good advanced painting DvD out there?

That was an exciting ten minutes.
My only suggestion would be to contact these guys: http://shop.kraken-editions.com/contact_us.php
That's the only place that's even mentioned as selling it anywhere. He seems to work directly for them, so if they don't know...

You would think that one major point of selling a product is to make it easy to buy (rolls eyes)

Yeah I don't think it's available at the moment. I got mine from the Coolminiornot.com store, but I just checked and they don't have it even listed.

I would recommend two videos from miniaturementor that are very similar, at least technique wise.

The one by Allan Carrasco and the Julien Casses one also.

I'd second the miniature mentor tutorials as being very good, though the earlier tutorials do tend to concentrate a little on the painters who use very thin coats of paint to achieve their blends rather than methods of feathering or wet blending which other painting tutorials seem to do more on. One of the more recent tutorials on speed painting is very interesting if you've got an airbrush.

I actually found the Hot Lead DVD to have some decent style information which isn't covered by the MM tutorials so wouldn't rule it out, though it does have a fair bit of beginner stuff too.

Can I suggest skipping forward 10 years to the age where you don't really care about what people say on the internet. Studies show that it decreases your anger about life in general by 37%. - Flashman
