Hmm, for games workshop i'd start with a black undercoat, working slowly up through a dark brown of your choice whilst slowly adding something such as golden yellow until you reach a white highlight/ mimicry of a reflective shine. I'v never done it before though, so best of luck.

Darkest areas are painted with GW Bestial Brown. This is lightened with Vallejo Lemon Yellow. This eventually produces a color similar to GW Sunburst Yellow. Highlights are then mixed in with GW Skull White up to pure white. Must be done with a white undercoat.
