GW has put the rules for the Night Spinner on-line (if this was already the case, my sincerest of apololologies) and they can be found here.

The Night Spinner is unique amongst artillery vehicles. It does not fire crude explosive shells, like the guns of lesser races, but instead utilises a far more subtle and elegant means of delivering death from afar. This mobile artillery piece is armed with twin-linked doomweaver cannons, which fire a web of monofilament mesh high into the air to float down on its victims, where its razor-sharp strands sever limbs and shear weapons from vehicles.

They need to do the same for the rest of the Spearhead rules that were in the same issue of White Dwarf as the Nightspinner. Now that selling that issue of the magazine is long past, if they'd like to promote Spearhead going forward the full rules need to be accessible to all 40K players.

Yeah I'm glad they finally posted them somewhere besides the White Dwarf. I think players better than I am will be able to find some good uses for the tank and now that I've got the rules I can play around with it.

I'm pretty sure that both of these were up right after the WD they were printed in hit the stands.

Yes those Spearhead formations were up on the web when the White Dwarf was published, but the Spearhead PDF on the web is only half the rules. The other half were in last June's White Dwarf.

I think they eventually will make the rules a PDF. It would be pretty dumb of em not to and copies of that issue of WD aren't gonna be around forever.

I just noticed on the website they don't have the night spinner listed, just a fire prism.. I dunno if everyone would know the night spinner is part of that kit especially if they're new to the game or army.

Hmm... it's subsequently mentioned in the Fire Prism entry, but you would have needed to look at it in the first place.
