I am just starting. Getting a list ready to play my first game. A lot of models look cool but what works. Using 15 pts and 35 pt lists.
What is your favorite Menoth Warcaster?

I can see a lot of people using Kreoss from the box set.

I think this will be useful to many new players. We read the model's equipment and stats but are unshure what it means.
A lot of Menoth casters have solo or units that expand the warcaster's abilities.

in 15 point i Love my Kreoss and eKreoss
as for the jack, his special jack (yes ONE jack)

and two units of Knight exemplar

when i played menoth i favored eFeora, heavy jack list, bonded redeemer, loads of fire.

my alternate was reznik for facebeating.

I agree totally I think Kreoss is awesome. Kreoss and eKreoss have the best feats in the game. I love the look on my opponents face when I use eKreoss's feat and they just sit down and cry because all their units were within his control range.

Some guys at my local FLGS asked me what army and warcaster I use. I responded by telling them I play Protectorate and Kreoss and one of the guys at the store (not even involved in the conversation) yelled out, "Kreoss is ". I asked, "Why because of his feat?" and he responded, "YES!"

I thought this was really funny!

I'll toss in my two votes. eKreoss and Reznik. eKreoss is just a good facebeater, and Reznik has movement shenanigans. Couple him with Fire of Salvation and the enemy doesn't know where you'll be next!

I simply LOVE Kreoss.. He's a Warcaster that can recieve a beating and is very offensive.. One of my favourite tactics is to advance with my whole battlegroup so that every enemy model is within his Cmd range, using a Crusader to shield Kreoss, and get a Revenger with 3 focus points within 8" of an enemy Warcaster.. I then activate Kreoss, use his feat which knocks every model down, and use the Arc Node on the Revenger to "bless" the enemy warcaster with the spell Cleansing Fire, and try to get a Critical hit. If I should fail with the spell, I have a Revenger with 3 focus points ready to charge the enemy Warcaster and give him/her a teaching in the True Law..

And besides, he is pretty handy for removing upkeep spells as well..

I like eFeora's model...Amon looks cool, but I'd do the ball and chain a bit differently.

I like the art for eKreoss when he's being handed his weapon, but I don't like the actual model.

Harbenger looks interesting, but without the extra floaty cloth and dudes holding her down.

/shrug, I don't like any of the casters personally...eFeora is at the top, but only model-wise.

I'm waiting for a Paladin Caster..........that would seal the deal for me to go Menoth...

Is there a Warcaster that works well with a jack heavy list. Currently I have Kreoss. Do most Menoth players use the Warcaster's assistant ;Hierophant?

My favourite and most used is Kreoss, pretty much like everyone else.

I am also partial to the High Reclaimer, Severius and Vindictus.

Model wise I prefer the Harbinger, no question.

pKreoss: Mostly for his ability to shut down spell/buff centric casters.

Harbinger: Her rediculous control range coupled with a revenger and 2 full units of bastions while happily sitting behind a crusader makes most opponents rage out of sheer frustration. (I only ever use her at tournaments I refuse to use her for fun/casual play for this reason)

Harbinger is great with jacks just because she has so much focus, and she can use Martyrdom to keep choir, vassals, etc alive. Her spell that gives everyone extra charge distance comes in handy too.

Reznik is probably the best jack caster in my opinion. Good upkeep spells with his jacks, great synergy with Fire of Salvation using Perdition along with FoS's natural ability, and Witch Hound is very nice and can surprise people.

Amon is a jack caster too, and does it well. Best to take as many light jacks as you can with him, as every hit makes every other hit after that stronger. He's surprisingly squishy though so watch it.

I tend to run eFeora as a jack caster too. Good upkeep spell, and she makes Vanquishers just sick. If the enemy has any infantry, a couple vanquishers with a couple vassals and a bonded redeemer will clear them out really quickly. Beware fire immunity...

Amon is made for Light Jack
Kreoss is your do it all generalist
and Reznik can hit with his jack(he hits hard)
