I just ordered some beautiful minis from Scibor's website, and I was wondering if anyone who had ordered before had any experience with delivery times, methods?

I have ordered from them twice. The first time took around 3 weeks, but was right before xmas and the second right about 2 weeks.

I would venture a guess that it would be the same for you as your only 2 towns over.

BTW, what did you order? I'm guessing its the same thing I did

Thank you for the information, 2 weeks would be fine! I ordered the Spartan, Angel Knight and Temple Knight.

I want to use them as Terminator Librarians.

What did you order?

I was somewhat dissatisfied with a peculiar shopping cart experience that did NOT accept a payment method but simply created an order and a total which a user then had to go to PayPal with themselves and pay and reference completely independently of the order process, it seemed disjointed and is pretty much unique to Scibor's site as far as I can tell.

it is reassuring to hear from someone I know that has gotten good results! Honest thanks!

I got the Angel Knight and a ton of the angel shields.

And just so you know, I had ordered all that long before the DA FAQ

I ordered from them, to the US. If I remember correctly it took 2 weeks, maybe a couple days more. Figure about standard international delivery time.

If your asking if you could use them in a tournament, then the answer would be maybe. Anything sponsored or directly involved with GW will not allow you to use a non GW mini. Rules for local clubs will vary.

The DA FAQ, what an atrocity, I played some kids in a local tourney who had a Belial army based around that, it was grossly effective 2+3+I FNP Scoring? Yea that's a bit much. For the record I'm NOT building that.

I just wanted a different librarian terminator model, as for a project I am doing I want multiples and all GW has to offer is this:

...which is ok (except the big book standard, which I have sawn off before, and if you need more than one then... ?

So when I saw these:

My Question was answered! I'm going to convert them a little and possibly put regular terminator storm shields on them, and a terminator helmet as well on the Spartan.

Oh, I will also probably kill the UBER ROCK bases, because, though they look nice in the single images here, they are a bit ridiculously proportioned.

Suitable pins or magnets and you could keep the base for decoration and then use a smaller base for the table. Seems a shame to ditch em completely.

Ya I've bought two of their Egyptian basing kits and the images on the website do not do them justice.

I recently purchased the SciFi Celtic Warriors...

Had to buy locally through LFGS because the Shopping Cart issue and this way I can look at the minis for scale before purchasing.

Excellent, I was also going to ask about mold and piece quality, for this same project I had recently ordered quite a bit of Forgeworld pieces, they really ran the gamut from being awesome to not even usable quality wise (the sword form the space marine Sargent conversion kit for example is a thin little bent stick while the power fist is amazing!)

How do the Scibor pieces compare to Forge World, quality wise?

Perhaps, but I had something a little less ostentatious in mind for my models, something, in line with the rest of my army, and with SPace marines, but still magnifying the amazing glory of Scibor's work, not at all ridiculous, you know something subtle, like this!

Have a nice day!

Hee hee hee, thanks, glad you liked it!

Obviously I think the inch thick rock bases are out of control! Not as much as a SPace Marine Sundae though...

Also I might play my Librarians in tournaments sometime, and if they are an extra inch high, well, that could be complicated for extra LOS or when their heads get targeted.

I do think those bases are very pretty and I can definitely appreciate the craftsmanship, but they're absurdly thick.
