Hey. My first Killa Kan. Love these little beggers. The idea is to do a set of three, red, blue and yellow. I've started on the yellow but it's a little more time consuming getting it to look right. Sorry about the blur. Camera doesn't cope well without flash, even in this much daylight. Strange that it's only on the sides really. Probably wasn't best to have a tv and camouflage jacket as the background, either. :/ The base is an 'Urban' resin cast from Dark Art Miniatures. I didn't make it. Obviously haven't got around to painting it yet, either. Heh. I also feel the need to justify myself on the Dean Koontz book, too. Not my usual read. It was a suggestion and lend from my sister.

When taking pictures of models, make sure to turn on the "macro" setting (usually a picture of a flower) and place the camera on a steady surface.
Unfortunately I can't see your pictures as I am at work, however, if you add them to the dakka gallery, I would be able to, and also people can comment and vote on them too

Yeah thanks. But I happen to know how a camera works. I used the macro setting. The blur was caused by holding the camera free hand. I couldn't get the right angles setting it down and I don't have a tripod for it.

Looks pretty nice. I'd suggest some Sponge-Weathering to break up the red armour colour, since it dominates the model at the moment.
If you're having trouble with camera shake - and I assume you don't have a DIS Mode (Dynamic Image Stabilisation) - then try sitting the camera flat on a surface, positioning the model the correct distance away, and tilting the camera (keeping it in contact with the surface) until the model is in the right position for the image. Then shoot. That's what I do.

It's a bit monochromatic for my taste. I think some paint-chipped weathering would break up the red.

The paint job is solid , however color choice wise, it needs something to break up the massive wall of red.
I recommend changing the color of the jaw plate.
