So this came up the other week, something I wanted clarified.
Based on a discussion a month ago in this very forum - I went into a game with the idea that my Stormraven with Locator Beacon could...
1. Move Flat Out 24"
2. Disembark it contents via Skies of Blood
3. Exempt them from a Dangerous Terrain check with the Stormraven's Beacon
4. Deploy them safely within 6" of the hull of the SR per above assumptions.
Essentially allowing a 30" range in total.
What we got snafu'd on, was the working of Skies of Blood - which I regretably don't have on me this second. But it states roughly that they must disembark over and area the Raven moved that turn.
My opponent took this to meant, they had to disembark anywhere starting from rear of the base under the attached dread to any place "the base" flew over and would only get the benefit of the skies if I picked a rear spot that was within 6".
I went with it, first time even attempting - but wanted to know your thoughts or experiences. Does the final position of the Stormraven count as being "passed over" and eligible for Skies or only a previous location up until stopped?
