I played fantasy at the back end of 5th and for 6th. Played one game of 7th and havent played since. I am looking to make a come back into it as I desperately need another game system to play. After perusing the 8th edition rule book and most of the army books, WoC stuck out at me for the Tzeencth chosen, which later I found out wasn;t much of a secret. Here is the list I devised:

Don't, just leave the shooting to your hellcannons. You might however consider to take a few less magic items to bring in even more warrior goodness or maybe some knights.

Since it's already so face-smashingly brutal, do you really need the second hellcannon? I've found that two is actually not that awesome, since they can blow themselves up easier than the enemy can kill them, and since your dudes close into combat so quickly in 8th, and since your opponent will generally vomit all over your list because of the double hecklaunchers.

If you drop the second hellcannon [205], swap the level 4's e.shield to a charmed shield [10] (which is sorta more helpful for surviving cannons, much more of a concern than the small arms that the e.shild blocks), and drop the level 2 to a level 1 [35] (because what spells do you think you'll be getting from 6 levels of Tizz? It's got 4 good ones and 2 stinkers, so flicker is fine on this guy - or rather, third eye gives him all the spells he could want), you've got 250 points to play with. That means a lot of different special elite options (knights / ogres / trolls), all of which add a little flavor and some tactical / modeling flair to a pretty meh list.

That sounds good. I would really like to add in some knights. Love the models. And building 2 hellcannons was pretty daunting.

The bronze armor [15] and shield [5] on the BSB are not vital either, which gives you enough for ...

S: 6 Knights - MoT, musician = 270

... but if you've only got 1 box of knights and no way to get that 6th maniac, then ...

S: 5 Knights - MoT, standard, musician = 250

... fits pretty nicely as well. I'd prefer moar attaks and +1W over the standard, but meh.

Thanks for the advice Boss!

With the addition of the knights what are you thoughts on the list overall? Is it too static with only 1 cav unit? Or will the Chosen do what I hope they will?
