Looks good, but a black wash will really pull the detail out. Clearly not finished, as his choppa is still black, but looking good so far.

Ok Really? Fairenuff, must of been a mistake on the sprew as they was next to each other, this is from the black reach box set.
Plus this was my first buy so i hope that wont happen again as i intend to buy the proper packs now as they have better options in them.

Give the metal areas a Devlan Mud Wash, followed by a Badab Black Wash. It'll look much better.

It's had a badab black wash and i stopped it there as i did'nt want to give a very dark wash, plus i mite do rust weathering effects yet.

For the skin i 1st layerd orkhide shade followed by knarloc green then goblin green, and last i added a little bleached bone to the goblin green for the final highlights.

Ah, apologies. I was looking at the image at the top of the page, pre-wash.

To be constructive, then; it looks good, but I think it's a little... plain. What about doing some of the armour plates in a colour? Red, for example. Just use it on one or two panels; the one on the shoulder with the spike, and the one bolted onto the... crotch (teeheehee), for example.

@ popsicle...no worries dude, and i think ure right anyway, i dont think i used badab black i think it was Gryphonne sepia wash, i like that more on metal, as long as you dont let it pool in too much it gives a much better effect on metal in my opinion.

And yes i know what you mean about the plates, I'm working on a Evil Sunz at the moment trying to find a clan that i'm happy at painting, i've tried a few blood axes and well i'm still not happy with thos lol!

I made the exact same mistake with my AOBR box, but twice: I did a boy with a nob head, and vice versa, and also confused a nob head with the warboss one. Eh.

Good job dude. I'd highlight the metal with some mithril silver, and add a dot of white too each eye but it's a great first run .
