Here is a test for my friends Tyranid army colour scheme. He wanted a simple scheme that can be painted fast cause he has a lot and they are all unpainted. He isn't the painting kind of guy, so I am gonna paint the army for him. He originally wanted it just to be yellow, but just the hard yellow wasn't very "appealing" so I washed it in ogryn flesh. Tell me what you think.

it's 'tyranid'

Other than the spelling, nice job!

You managed to acheive a nice, crisp yellow, which isn't easy, although I suggest maybe a highlight to the red and raised areas of the black, and a wash on the teeth, and this model will look amazing.

Sorry I always mess the spelling up, I wasn't really thinking of doing any highlighting, it's just supposed to be a really quick table top standard paint job. But I will do a wash on the teeth, I did a black wash but I guess not enough.

Lost in the warp. Halp!

I'd also consider going for a bone color on the teeth -- don't think 'Nids care much for oral hygiene.

For a Q&D paint job, not bad!

Even a quick grey highlight to the raised areas of the skin will really make this look great and still be realatively quick and easy.

Alright I'll consider doing the highlighting.

I think if you used a gloss black as a base coat, it would make speed painting even easier; almost like the Xenomorphs from Aliens.
