I read that initial post as being fairly tongue in cheek. I realise you want to respond to every mention of you guys, but you might want to ease the throttle off the reaction-o-meter. It might help this thread stay on topic (heaven forbid!).

Several different things mixed up here.
1.) There are custom bitz services that sell separate GW plastic bitz like bitspudlo.com/
2.) There are other manufacturers that sell customizing bitz that might be used for 40k as well
3.) There are companies that sell alternative miniatures incl riding wolves and vehicles.
4.) Not yet mentioned but also close: bases and basing material, see this thread http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/353268.page

Each one deserves a different thread because of the number of sources in each.
Here I only refer to point 2 and only to SciFi stuff:

Chapterhouse Studios http://chapterhousestudios.com/webshop/home (not listed yet)
The Assault Group (realistic historic and modern weapons and equipment) http://www.theassaultgroup.co.uk/store/home.php?cat=23
Armorcast (gunfire effects plus lots of terrain) http://armorcast.com/store/index.php?cPath=100
Heresy Miniatures http://www.heresyminiatures.com/weapons.htm
Reaper (miniatures, fantasy & pulp & scifi accessories incl wings) http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures
Antenocitis Workshop http://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/sci-fi.html (they also sell from other manufacturers)
Puppet's War (mostly heads) http://www.puppetswar.com/category.php?id_category=6
Westwind Productions (Pulp WW2 heads) http://www.westwindproductions.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=126_149

Tins Bits (female Cadian bitz) http://www.tinsbits.com/webshop/index.php/cPath/7/category/upgrade.html/

BTW Kromlech was not exactly a subsidiary of Maxmini: http://kromlech.eu/?p=298
Bitspludo is listed twice (only sells other manufacturer bitz incl GW plastic bitz) and AoW makes no bitz.

Not many sites list where they are located (for postage reasons). Does anyone wanna list where each is located. It really helps when looking for something close to/cheaper postage for AUS

I am not in the mood to calculate shipping costs for all these manufacturers to all countries, as
1.) it is easy for you to do with the manufacturer you are interested in (including possible free shipping rules)
2.) all products are worth the extra 50 cent, additional postage might cost
3.) some of them have retailers that sell their stuff in your country (for an extra price) like the Warstore in USA.
