The inaugural AdeptiCon Charity Raffle will support Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Child's Play. 100% of the proceeds from this raffle will be split between both charities, with Kraft Foods providing a 100% match for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The AdeptiCon 2011 Charity Raffle is sponsored by AdeptiCon, Chaosmailorder.com, and GMM Studios. You can purchase raffle tickets in advance (available for pickup along with your Weekend Badge starting Thursday, March 31st at 8:00 pm) or onsite at the AdeptiCon registration desk for $1.00 each. You will receive a number of bonus tickets based on the total number of tickets you purchase.

So what is the big prize? The models for this Death Guard Chaos Space Marine Army have been provided by Chaosmailorder.com, AdeptiCon then supplemented this force with several Forge World conversion kits and Brandon over at GMM Studios put the finishing touches on this beautiful army.

You can find out more information about this charity raffle in the AdeptiCon 2011 Webcart. Pictures of the finished army can be found in the AdeptiCon Photo Gallery.

The drawing will be at 4:30 PM on Sunday, April 3, 2011 in the Westin Grand Ballroom just prior to the start of the Sunday Warhammer 40K awards. Your ticket must be present to win (although you do not).

Overall, both of these charities can benefit greatly from your contribution. Help us support them and you may be the proud owner of this awesome army.

Wow, what a great prize. That certainly makes giving to charity a whole lot more pleasurable!

Are you really capping the amount of tickets that will be sold? Seems like that kind of inhibits the ability to really generate a lot of contributions.

Anyway, I think I will definitely be participating in this. Of course the only downside is that if I win and I ever want to add more stuff to the army I'll have to pay GMM to paint it as there's no way I could possibly match his stuff.

No ticket cap. We will sell as many as we can. I think I just put 1000 in there to get it started.

I love doing armies for charity. I hope this one brings in a lot for these two great organizations.

Good luck to those that enter!

So, we have to be an Adepticon attendee to enter the raffel, then?

Sounds like "No, but." If your ticket has to be there, and you have to pick up your ticket, then your best plan is probably to find someone who will be there & have them buy you tickets.

But that is a little clunky.

If you are not attending the convention, but still want to purchase raffle tickets - you have 2 weeks to do so (the cart closes Friday, March 11th, 2011 17:00 CST).

Just put a note in the Comments field that you will not be attending the convention. Your tickets will then be put into an envelope with your name, order number and ticket range on it. If you win, we will notify you after the convention and arrange shipping.

Additionally, if you know someone attending the convention, they can hold your tickets for you.

Matthias, that's exactly what I was hoping you'd say.
Thank you!
