I have decided to go back to my 6mm WW2 and do a whole new selection of stuff for grand tactical battles... These are my little test pieces on 40mm x 20mm bases...

Im planning on around 400-500 element bases to give me a good selection of stuff. Best bit is its fast and fun to do.

Mostly Heriocs & Ros, but a couple of Scotia in there too.

More to come tonight... Finished a full T-34/76D company last night and the transport for my Soviet Infantry company...

What's the average time it takes from prep work to completion (excluding basing) for a T34 in 6mm?

About ten minutes. If that.

Did ten in just over an hour.

Good looking Russians, P. Shame that they take forever to get anywhere though, since they're always Stalin! GET IT? Stalling!

You better, I can see the big wooden hook reaching to drag you off stage any minute now...

OP, great looking models! What rule set do you use for them?

Casual wargamer, casual painter, casual grad student. I can do formal though, I do own a tuxedo T-shirt.

Nice job. All my 6mm vehicles are unbased, but seeing yours on bases makes me second guess that decision.

Basing saves alot of damage and makes them very easy to store. It also gives the more clumsy player something to pick the model up by. Not had any breakages in the five years that I have been basing them.

I have a case from KR Cases that holds 400 of these bases.

Im using a set called 'Combined Arms' from the 1980s with my own amendments and also Blitzkreig Commander.

I will probably write up my own set for this scale as I want to focus on company/battalion level actions.
