I am hearing 2 stories about how the deffrolla works on vehicles.
Some people think the d6 s10 hits go on then, others say that it doesn't work against vehicles, only infantry and walkers.

Read the FAQ's before asking questions. If by chance it is not there (which I know for a fact it is) then read the rulebook. You don't even need the FAQ to solve this.

Agreed bucheonman.
The FAQ, however, does state that the deffrolla works on vehicles. I don't agree that this is clear in the rulebook, but the faq clears this one up.

If you're going to tell people to look in the FAQ you may as well put "FAQ para 5: Deffrollas work on vehicles.".
