Subject: [Brushfire] April Releases - Badgers, Dogs, and Warthogs!

We've gotten the masters in for our April releases, so I'm working on getting them painted up. Here are a few shots of them, some are more WIP then others.
Badger-At-Claw (5 Model Squad Box) - $34.99 - Direct Only*
Badger-At-Claw (1 Model Blister) - $11.99
Bull Regular (5 Model Squad Box) - $29.99
Bull Regular (2 Model Blister) - $11.99
Bull Regular Head Pack (4 Unique Bull Regular heads) - $2.99 - Direct Only
Shaka War Hog (5 Model Squad Box) - $34.99 - Direct Only*
Shaka War Hog (1 Model Blister) - $11.99
These are all now up for preordering from our shop, or your local supplier. If your local supplier isn't carrying Brushfire, request they do!
*Direct Only items are items that will only be available to retailers direct from On The Lamb. While the majority of these items will be bits packs, this will also include models that are too costly for us to offer our distributors and have a nice MSRP.

Your guys products are getting better I will say, and as such I really think you guys should hire a professional painter. You would be suprised how it will make your sales jump .
Side note did you derive some of your initial inspiration from Flintloque for this?
|
Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

Yeah, but professional painters like to get money. Maybe if another store or two picks up the line we can afford such things.

Actually didn't learn of Flintloque until recently. The English dogs design is coincidental, and originated from me thinking a pug dressed as a Regular would be rather cute. But Pugs are chinese in origin, so we went with English Bulldogs and Bull Mastiffs instead.

Crazy idea...why not ask any of the commission painters on Dakka to do some up pro bono?
Arrange it so you'll give them some free promotion in exchange for a few high quality examples to post on your website.

Either way, it's adorable. I'm debating getting those Badgers

I know its horribly biased, but I really like the new Badger sculpts. Daniel did an excellent job giving them a nice amount of pose-ability with the heads and arms. Didn't think you were. Brushfire took alot of things for inspiration, Flintloque probably would have been one of them if we had known about it.

Lovely stuff, really looking forward to seeing this continue to grow.
Gotta ask though, is there a reason that the model, which is obviously included for size comparisons, has blurred out eyes and insignia?

Indeed, I think you would be better off just showing bare metal/plastic/resin than showing these paintjobs. They aren't bad as far as tabletop goes, but for selling product it is far too amateur and actually detracts from the model. Please take this as constructive criticism and not a hate-on!
Good luck!

Wow, I'm really impressed with the bulldog soldiers. They are a little out of my price range other than maybe buying one pack to paint but if I had the dough I'd love to do an entire IG army with those.

He's got the respirator helmets on them, and just hasn't painted the visors it looks like.
Blurred out insignia is likely just because he's covering all his potential bases so there's no chance of anything being leveled his way because of having a Guardsman with an aquila.
